june18, ok i have reached the end of this day and now i have done what my next step was to do...i bolted up the turbo/flange/manifold...this morning i started taking off the old mani and it took a while to do but got it done...me and my friend tried to put the turbo/flange/manifold in but it was in the way of the fan cover.....so what we did was unbolt the turbo then it made the mani/flange easier to get it....then we tried to put the turbo in....still it didnt want to get in because it was getting in the way of the fan cover....so what i did was trim the cover so that it didnt get in the way.....success its in....after doing that we decided to do the fuel pump...that was a success as well but we didnt have the soldering iron so my friend took it home to do that for me and tomorrow we should have that done an put in...after that we decided to try and mount my front mount...we didnt get that done yet but we made brackets for it so that when we have the right tools and stuff we can get that on....since i still have my injen intake, i didnt want to throw it a way to we made use of it...dont worry you guys will see .....hehe i ran into the same problem like everyone else....THE OIL FILTER...its in the way to where my wastegate is supposed to be and now i know why you 5sfte guys relocate your oil filters...i thought that you could just have the wastegate in without relocating the oil filter but i was wrong...i went to NAPA auto parts and they have an oil filter relocation kit but all i have to do is just make custom lines.....idk should i get it i mean it might be cheaper than buying it online since i live all the way in maui?need help with this...soOOOOo thats it for today...oh yah my wideband came in today....siiick..ok dudes more updating to come....

You only need to relocate your oil filter IF you use the Ebay CT26-T3 adapter. If you use an adapter like this one:
There is no need to relocate your oil filter. But this comes at a price. The Ebay adapter can be had for around 50$......This adapter sells for around 350$. If you dont mind doing a bit of welding, this adapter can ge had for about 175$.....but you need to weld on your own wastegate tube and flange. --------------------

it really depends on what you wanna use, and where you are planning on mounting the filter for the relocation.
a generic parts like would look somthing like this to give you an idea. canton block adapter x4 1/2npt to -10 fittings x4 -10 hose ends where you mount the filter will dictate what style fittings you will need. i use 2 straight ones, and 2 90* swivel ends. -10 stainless braided hose transdapt filter adapter teflon tape (never use teflon tape on a -an fitting. only on the NPT fittings.) you can get everything from summitracing or any place like that. (although im not sure if they sell canton stuff, if they dont you can get it right from canton. or you can get the moroso one that summit sells, its the same thing basicly) good luck with the project. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

ok dudes more updating...today this morning i didnt have my cell so i couldnt contact any of my friends to come down and help me today.... and so im all alone....first i really wanted to concentrate on my boost gauge because i only bought the gauge all by its self without the tubing and everything else for 50.....so on with the search for my tubing....a couple of days ago i went to napa auto parts and tried to find the tubing there....they said they didnt have it but they did find the fitting stuff i needed to put the tubing in the gauge...after that ,today i went to checkers to find my pcv that i broke....luckly they had it in stock so i got that and i also bought a thicker hose for my boost controller,my bov, and also my external wastegate...ok then i went searching for the tubing for my boost gauge so i went to ace hardware and no luck there but this guy that worked there told me to go to car quest because they should have what im looking for....so i drove all the way to wailuku industrial and come to find out that they changed there name AND they are located in kahului.(sorry for those whos never been to maui) so i drove all the way back town and found this big white building and it was an auto store....at the end of the store was a sign that said TUBING REPAIR....jack pot!! i found what the place....so i went in and showed my gauge and they brought out the tubing that was the right size and everything...i bought 10 feet of tubing all for only 75....cents!....ok now i went to Lowes and made my three sided tee nipple to plug in the vacuum line....i went home and time for work...i cut one of my vacuum lines then put the tee in between...then i attached the small tubing for my gauge on and ran it through my fender....then i attached it to the tee and all was good....next i needed wires for my light on my gauge so i went to radio shack and got that fixed...i also atached my power to the fuse that connects to my parking lights so that the light only goes on when i make that click to turn on the parking lights.....that was all success full....while i still had time in my hands i decided to connect to tubing for my manual boost controller....since my mbc is mounted in the front i couldnt find a vacuum line close by and then BOOM i looked at my turbo and a fitting was already attached to the turbo outlet....i saw that before because my friend had his external wastegate line attached to it and he told me that it was a vacuum line too! so i took the fitting out of the turbo outlet because i have a nipple fitting that was included with my mbc.....i checked the two sizes and WALLA what do you know...they both same....so i swaped fittings to the nipple....then i attached the line and connected it to the mbc....success.....so far so good....oh yah i also put teflon on all fittings to the oil lines to prevent any leaks.....allright dudes thats it for more up dating to come....shoots!
