Hijack threads???
This thread was a few weeks old. I had a very similar problem as he did. I used the search option, and this was the closest thread I could find to my symptoms. I would think it would be better to post in a thread that is related to the matter than to make a new one... |

To both people with this problem:
You need to diagnose the problem before you go wasting a bunch of time and money replacing parts at random. The easiest test is the internal leak test. Read this and see "internal leak test": http://www.familycar.com/Classroom/CoolingSystem.htm |

headbolts are built to stretch once torqued properly the first time. You dont want to use them again

sorry to steal thread but im juss had the same problem happen to me, but now i leaking oil mixed with coolant. And the other day i think thursday or friday is was over heating on me.

My head gasket was caused from a leaky water pump, caused rear main oil seal to go mamaries up. Spent the last three days under the hood and ready to get it completed. My rad looks good. No leaks

i had juss replaced my radiator, also juss replaced my rear main seal because oil was shooting into the clutch. so basicly i had the rear main seal replaced and my clutch. so now my water pump is leaking and im guessing my head gasket had juss went.

Update: The shop just told me that my head was gone...
 Im now in the market looking for one. He found a head that cost 150 and it needs a valve job for 185. Does the prices sound right?So for you guys who's having problems, get it fixed asap -------------------- God made man....

Actually it was fixed last month. Part is head gasket, part of it is the actual head. The holes of the water jacket were corroded and the mechanic recommended to get a new head so I got one. I replaced the radiator too! It was cracked due to too much pressure. Water pump was replaced, oil pump seals and gasket, thermostat, timingbelt, idle tensioner pulleys, cam seals, bi-metal switching valve, pcv valve, rad hoses and other lil stuff. So far in its 1st 1k miles it went pretty fine, drove 200 miles on a 90 degree day. @ 185k, still a lot of things to fix!
