I'm debating getting one, due to a engine swap in 5 months. I also found this header to be somewhat more reliable by reviews JVTRHDS-TC9318L....

your saying you will get a swap in 5 months i would say dont go for it. save that money, you might need the extra money for something in your swap.

you will get used to the headers after a couple of months and you will only notice the power a little at the end of 2nd gear and a big difference in 3rd and 4th.

Everyone says to heat wrap the headers but dang that looks really awful (no offense) is there any other alternative. Also, is it true that if you don't wrap the headers that they will turn golden & blueish? If that is the case then why do they even sell them in chrome...either they are covered in heat wrap or look like something that could use tarnex...?

You can get it ceramic coated. Its got good heat resistance properties.

Ceramic coatings are your only alternative. its expensive, but effective.

that is part of the properties of stainless steel. you will get the gold look in the first 10 min. of running the engine. and blue probably by 30 min. it's gonna happen. However, it's also those same properties that prevent rusting (and make it expensive).

I have my the stock exhuast on mine with and aftermarket muffler on the end, and just an SRI either then proformance wise my celicia is stock, does anyone have this with the Ebay header installed? I was thinking abotu it but have no idea how it would sound. I don't want it to be too loud.

I assume because there is a resonator and muffler on the stock setup, it shouldn't be to loud. I could be wrong though.

NO ebay headers for 2 holes for oxygen sensors. the 2 oxygen sensor are for California celicas only. the headers are meant for celicas that werent made in CA.

if you have two oxygen sensors in your celi, just take the header to an exhaust shop and have them weld a whole (i think its called a bung) into it, it should cost somehwere around $10.

i had the exhaust shop put a whole in the front exhaust pipe since i have a st celica the oxygen sensor wiring is towards the back of the engine.

just make sure you wrap your headers really nicely, which isnt hard to do. ill post a pic of my wrapped headers.

anyone try a 3sge header and then custom piping? I would think this would be a quiet way to go.

OK - I am in California. Not sure if mine has two sensors, however, the headers on e-bay are in California. I am going to ask them about the sensors.

I am actually thinking to do a catback first before doing the header. My thought is that it also might give me more performance than the headers. Thoughts?

Iv juste ordered Mine from surewin ebay (by the way i juste bought my celica like 1 month ago for 1400$) im in Quebec (First Post !!:P)
We dont have any smog test or whatever here laugh.gif
But ill have to wait like 2 weeks for the shipping !!!

Iv removed my 2nd cat, I cant wait to put The header on, if the sound is not loud enought, ill remove my resonator, but ill keep the stock muffler because here
in Quebec its illegal to install a muffler that is Louder than the original one mad.gif

Anyways ill give u a word on it after installed it!
