Need some help identifying distributors. Toyota part numbers don't show up correctly.

There are 2 distributors shown, one for Fed and one for Cali. One has a round cap, held with 2 screws and has a coil wire on top. The other has a cap held with 3 screws, has a side bump-out and only 4 wires on top of the cap (no distributor wire).

Can someone confirm which is fed and which is cali, also did this change at the end of 1995 and how? Correct part numbers would be great.

I have a 96 built in late 95, fed emissions and the vin says federal, but the dealer part no. is wrong. Need to sort it out. No, the car hasn't had a swap or anything changed.

the one without the coil wire is the federal spec.
AFAIK, they all went to "cali" spec in 96+.
you should be able to search by vin for the correct part for your car.

That's the problem. Dealer verified with Toyota that my vin shows mfg date 9/95, same as sticker on car, and fed emissions. But they insist I should have the one without the coil wire. Reality under the hood says otherwise.

I had him order the other one, but something doesn't smell right.
