heres a start, probably missing a bunch of stuff:
460cc rx7 injectors 3sgte 2 bar map sensor 3sgte manifold 3sgte oil pan (50-75$) + KO racing -10an adapter crapo ebay t3 adapter garrett t3/to4e 46 trim with .63 exhaust housing custom down pipe +DP flange tial 38mm wastegate with 10psi spring oil filter relocation (with the canton block adapter, transdapt filter relocator, and custom -10an stainless braided lines) and of course the associated oil feed and return lines for the turbo. a ebay FMIC + piping, couplers, and clamps and a SAFCII for the noob (100-150used) or emanage ultimate or AEM FIC for more experienced. you will DEFINATLY need a compression test. but with 230k it is a little iffy to boost due to how many miles are on it. i would HIGHLY recommend buyin a 98+ 5s and going from there. and it IS possible to do it for 1000 but youd really have to find some deals. IMO spend the money and make it worth while, dont cheap out.
Cheap, Fast, Reliable Pick 2. i also recommend Water/Meth injection, Devilsown make a great kit, its about 230 bones. Most of us on here who have it just run 50/50 meth and water windshield washer fluid. but definatly worth it. it will help prevent engine knock. and as for the turbo i would go with .57 trim, externally wastegated. need any more help or have questions shoot me a PM. ill be glad to help. ~Brent~ This post has been edited by SeverX13: Jul 24, 2009 - 2:29 AM -------------------- QUOTE ‹Superaison› i'm a computer inclined guy.. ‹Superaison› or girl. idk what gender I am anymore. ‹SeverX13› *facepalm* QUOTE suprakid: o sh!t suprakid: i wanna get an obama chia pet SeverX13: hahahahaha |

I personally wouldnt turbo my car if it had 230k, its kinda like askin for problems. you HAVE to run a BOV and a wastegate. a BOV basically just releases pressure. and wastegate realeases exhaust pressure. HKS Filter? Filter for what? Oil? Fuel? Air? Also, you DON'T need new wires, your factory wires are more than enough for less than 10psi. When you order your wastegate, order it with the correct spring for the amout of pressure that you want to run, that way you don't have to dick around with an MBC/EBC. Another thing, the EGT is not as vital as a Wideband O2 or Boost gauge, so see what your budget allows and if you have the funds for an EGT then get one, if not its really no big deal, especially at the low amout of boost you'll be running. Yet, ANOTHER thing, to my knowledge there is no "kit" for an intercooler setup for the 5sfte. You will have to buy an intercooler, and then buy the piping and couplers and clamps seperately and piece it together yourself. Ask Manny (i don't remember) where he got all of his I/C piping, we bought Brent's from the same company and it worked beautifully!! Best of luck to you with your project. Take your time and do it right once, or spend the extra time and money to re-do it a second time! -------------------- www.tweakdperformance.com contact@tweakdperformance.com |

Its seems as tho you are looking to run an Ebay T3, so these are the parts you are going to need:
460cc RX7 injectors. (100$) Gen2 map sensor (50$) Ebay T3 (200$) Tial 38mm wastegate (200$) Ct26 to T3 adapter (50$) Gen2 3sgte exhaust manifold (50$) -10AN weld bund for YOUR CURRENT 5s oil pan. (buying a 3s oil pan just to run an adapter is USELESS IMO) (5$) -3an or -4an 12" oil feed line with an oil restricter (50$) -10an oil return line Custom DP (150$?) Upgraded clutch (400$) FMIC (100$) IC piping and couplers (150$) Neo or SAFC2 for tuning (basically the same thing, nothing wrong with either) (150$) Walboro pump (100$) BOV of your choice (200$) Oil filter relocation Intake and filter You can use your 2.5" exhaust, np there. These are the BARE minimum parts need to run a T3 setup on a 5s below 10psi, and you are still looking at around 2000$. These prices include doing all the work yourself, no gauges, and I didnt even factor in dyno time. Which will DEFINITELY be needed since I didnt factor in a WB. My best advice to you is to keep saving or buying parts on the side. And when you finally have all the parts mentioned, save up for a motor so your not left stranded if your high mileage 5s decided to take a crap. You can pick up a 98+ 5s long block for usually under 1000$. If it were me doing it. I would buy all the parts that I needed, then save up another 2000-3000$ for the unexpected (that includes a blown motor). Before continuing to buy parts, Do a compression and leak down test. No sense to keep buying parts for a motor that is already on its way out. GL with you build man. The 5s T3 setup is A LOT of fun. --------------------

go with the neo, you'll have a couple of more rpm points to tune. thats if you don't want to get the emanage. And about the exhaust. You can just rule out the CHEAP, FAST, RELIABLE part. If you want to save money stick with the 2.5" exhaust you've got on there now and get a 3" dp off of ebay. Thats as long as if it will bolt up. You will run into no issues. Well the only issue probably would be not releasing the full potential of your car. If you want to save money with the exhaust by all means, do it. Because 3" dp to 2.5" exhaust isn't going to kill you. As long as you don't skimp out on important things you'll be okay because you can add an exhaust down the road.
