I was in the drivethru and i decided to list to fm radio, so i did and after the antenna went all the way out, its has a weird noise like it was stuck. The motor is going on still even the antenna was up already. i tried to put it back to cd so that antenna would go down but it wouldnt. i had to go and push it lightly so it would go down. Is my antenna motor bad or is it just the antenna. thanks

Probably the antenna mast, which is pushed up and pulled down via a toothed vinyl strap. If the strap breaks the motor will run but -- obviously -- won't move the antenna.
It's an easy replacement, should be less than $30 for the mast from your dealer. Pull the antenna and motor, then remove the antenna mast. Work it up and down and you should be able to tell if the strap has broken or not. If not, likely a motor issue. However, 15-year-old vinyl is prone to snapping. |

HI
Slightly off your topic, but my antenna goes up once the key gets turned and the only way to retract it is to switch the engine off, Does it sound like the previous owner hasn't connected a wire correctly to the Head unit? |

Its the standard Sony CD player that came as standard on my model, but its in such good condition for a 10 year old head unit that i suspect the previous owner had probably swapped if for an after market one and has put it back in when they sold it. |
