How would I go about removing the spoiler?

Here's the back of my car;

I've never really attempted to work on a car before. I'm 16, and new at all of this. The biggest thing I've done with cars is help my friend adjust his valves on his BMW E30. Haha.

So yeah. I see that it's held together in 3 spots, so how would I approach ripping it off? biggrin.gif

Thanks.

well there is the little square panel that you can remove that is located on the inside of the hatch, and after taht you pretty much just pull off the rest of the plastic on the hatch. (its all just clips) then all of the bolts are accesable besides the middle one.
and right where the square panel you took off was is a metal thing with four bolts in it. and you remove that and then theres the last bolt. good luck

Does it leave big, noticeable holes? And when it rains, is the stereo in my trunk going to be okay? tongue.gif

I'll probably just patch it up later.

you know what. i've always wondered if someone tried making custom raiser blocks for that spoiler. IMO it would looks pretty good if you found the right height.

NewOrleans' instructions are right. As far as patching it up, find some nylon plugs at Home Depot, tape them in, and seal it with silicone. Won't look good, but it'll be watertight.

and yes it is pretty big holes that would leak a lot of water thru. so you would need to patch those up
