I hate how Supra's have grossly inflated values...

The likelihood of finding any low mileage unmodified supra is super low, so I guess it's down to if you want it bad enough... I can't help but think that you could do some amazing things with a "junky" $15K Supra and the remaining $25K...

if those are original miles ( triple check as Supras gain a lot of value with a minor roll back of the odometer ) the car is definately worthy.

personally I would go with something cheaper as I know I would modify it, a car like this ( unmolested ) should remain like that so it retains ( and gains ) its value over time. think about it for a moment and if you have the slightest intention of modifying hte car in any way, look for a cheaper one.

Unless of course that modification is changing it from auto to manual!

Beautiful car though...

Yes, not worth it because it is automatic, and in sports car world, autos are actually cheaper than manual transmission, unless it comes to non-sporty cars, then sometimes the manuals are cheaper, as the ideal buyer seeks comfort with the automatic.

But if you want one, why not buy the one I have here locally. There is a Supra here, has a slight body kit, very clean, $25k, and I imagine no more than $1k to ship it to you if you go through whoever most people use on eBay to deliver their cars.

Anyhow, with a Supra, you are expecting to pay anywhere between $25k-60k, pending on if it is 6spd, mileage, and how well it was taken care of. In most cases the car becomes more and more rare due to people being ignorant and street racing in such a car and then wrecking it beyond any means of recognition. This might also take part in increases in value as it becomes more rare, and possibly insurance costs as well. I have seen some many years back for as low as $15k, but that time is over. The value is up and $25k seems about the lowest you are going to get one for. If I had one, it would be a daily driver and nothing more. Though I would be tempted, I simply couldn't allow any harm to come to that car.

If you have the money, I'd buy it. It's a Supra. Buyer's remorse is NOT valid!

If I had the money, I'd buy that one in a heartbeat, auto or not. As it is though, I'll probably be buying a $15,000 Supra and fix whatever needs to be fixed, and then I'll sit back and envy the guy who has a Supra like this.

Oh no's its an auto.....the fun of driving it just went out the door....for a 98 6spd low original miles I think it'll be worth it don't forget what those 2jz's are capable of with bpu and little tuning.

I forgot to tell you, but the Supra that is local has only 86K miles on it! Manual Transmission, and for $25k, you can cover the shipping if need be, perhaps it might be listed in my city where you can buy it. I know they post in local classified, just nobody has bought it yet.

I would do a MR 6th Gen with $25k! Think about it! The car is perfect for it I think! Yeah you would lose your back seats completely and have a grip of fab work, but the car itself has a good amount of width, it's light, and when I picture the engine in the hatch, I think of the Bugatti. If I could, that is what I would go for.

these things were 40k new anyways. if it's in mint condition, maybe worth the asking price. some rich dude will come around and buy it for his wife, daughter, or son.

That car is mint!! One of the nicest I've seen in stock form. The Supra stock is actually faster in the quarter mile as an auto but it takes out all the fun, and that car being the last year is very rare to find also. Just my opinion.

11 year old car....
35k miles...
40 grand....
think about it, just think about it. cars DEPRECIATE in value, not increase. especially after 11 years. they also depreciate the minute you drive it off the lot. This one drove 35,000 miles off the lot. if you're willing to spend double of what it actually is worth, that's pretty crazy, and stupid.

Going to have to agree - not worth it. I don't car how pristine the car is - it is still 11 years old. One of the main reasons the price is so high is the Fast and Fugly franchise. After the first one Supra and Rx7s value went up.

Not worth it - unless of course you have more money than brains.
