UPDATE! so my headtsuds finally came!! i would be in the garage right now but Cam and I already have plans with some people. soo tomorrow we will get this motor IN the car and hopefully have it runnin my this weekend if we bust our asses!!!

The motor is IN the car! tomorrow it WILL be basically done, ill just need to do the break in period for 500 miles b4 i boost. im SO pumped to have my car back up in running, the car means more to me then anything.

Just thought you all would want to google over her since shes lowered now. Not sure if we're keeping her this low, and we still have to put the coilovers on the rear. Lemme know what you think!

Actually Andrew...those are MY coilovers off of my 5th gen

yea lol, your springs are in the box, the coilover sleeve is on my other roommates Honda!

So where did you run into the money to do this as a high school kid, I assume you worked for a long time?

yes, i worked waaayyy to much in highschool haha. but an ex-friend backed into me and caused 1200 bucks in damage so i used that towards this build as well and still have a cracked bumper

i like the stance brent, now put the rears on and take her out and get some good pictures of it...what kind of coilovers are you runnin? the cheap ebay ones? how do you like the ride so far?

Engine isnt completely done yet, so no joy rides have been done. The coilovers are Matrix coilovers that I had on my 5th gen. If Brent's car rides anything like mine did, which I'm assuming it will considering i just took off my entire strut assebly and put it on his car, then it rides a little rough, no bounce though.

Update: Celica is going well, we just welded an adapter peice with some flanges i made to move my wastegate so it will not hit the oil adapter. Pics will be posted soon. The Celica should at least be running today and ill be able to start my break in period tomorrow or thursday!

::UPDATE:: The Tangerine was started about a hour ago. We got the new rings seated, but didnt get to take her for a drive. We had everything all hooked up (or so we thought) and Brent went to try and crank it over to prime the motor, and got NOTHING... ...I then said...Brent, did you ever hook up the ECU? so we plugged in the ECU and the SAFC and gave it a second attemp....NOTHING...so we started fiddling around with other stuff. I noticed that the main fuse block on the driver front corner wasnt all back together like it should be, so I had Mark (Brent and my other roomate) check to see if everything in that fuse block was connected....it wasnt. We got those connectors all hooked up and we got her crankin!!! Needless to say, Brent is on Cloud 9 and didnt want to go to class tonight haha. The agenda for tomorrow is change the oil, top off the transmission fluid, put on the rear coilovers and take her for a drive!!!

Eh who needs a ECU?haha great to hear everything went well and it cranked right up!!
