Noob Q's
How long does it take for a coilover to get blown/bad? So when it gets bad, do you replace the whole coilover or just a damper? Thanks -------------------- God made man....

It all depends on how hard your settings are, how hard you drive, etc. If you've got yourself slammed and set to a stiff setting you'll eat the shock up faster than if you were at a reasonable drop with proper dampening.
And when some aspect of the coilover breaks (dampener, coil, pillowball, etc.) You can get that one part rebuilt/replaced, or you can buy new units. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

i always wondered?? well...........if you dont drive like the castrol rally 6 then it would take a long time like 150k miles? for the stock struts/shocks, it is recommended to replace them every 50k miles.. in this case i guess i have to ask the manufacturer their recommendation -------------------- God made man....

Megans are cheap cheap cheap coilovers. Ksports are rebuildable, Tein, BC Racing, Apex'i, etc. Don't cheap on a full coilover kit.

Nice info, checked ksport site and they have a replacement parts section so megan coilovers are more likely disposable like the OEM struts except you also dispose of springs. -------------------- God made man....

You'll never know unless you contact Megan company and find out how to be pointed in the right direction.
