Alright, so I got my short shifter boot from Hong Kong a few weeks ago. I tried to put it in my car a week ago and the fitment is not so good. The metal ring is not wide enough. After I try to insert the ring in the four little little slots, it is not snug enough. The boot shifts around when I move the shifter and the boot eventually falls down through the shifter hole. This is very easy to install, but it is just not fitting well enough. I should not have to modify this either since I paid for it! HELP! I have the same problem with mine. I tried pulling the metal square out wider to hold on better, but boy, that metal sure holds it shape well. I must have done something though, because it is holding better and hasn't fallen out since. sorry guys, I would ask the shop to aware the width of the metal ring Celicav, I believe that metal are flexible and feasable to bend and still holds its shape well. 1 question, since the upper plastic ring are same as stock, do u mean the upper part can't stop the boot falling down or? No, no, I should not have said "ring". I'm talking about bottom, rectangular part. The metal frame is not wide enough. The stitching is snug and tight around the frame, and bending it up is not going to do the job. Please allow me send it back! I will exchange if you promise me u can get one that fits. I guess you just got a out of spec set of these things from the shop. I realize mistakes happen, but I would appreciate an exchange for one that is correct or a refund. Thanks! Celicav, mind to post a pics here or PM me the pics I would make another one for ya, keep the defective one and no need to send that one back to me. Mind to paypal me $5 bucks to cover the mailing cost? Relax and be patience, will let ya know once ship!! But I need pics, just be fair to me, ok? Vince That is fair. I will take some pics today. I know exactly the pics to take that will make the defect clear to you. Thanks! just got mine, and I have the same problem, I will try to fix it though... -------------------- Failing to prepare is preparing to fail!

Depends what shift knob u use, if u still use the stocked 6th Gen knobs, then can sticked with stocked size collar/ring If not, seems smaller collar look cooler -------------------- |
