Nice example of the 6GC Richee!

I have just noticed that USDM celica's dont have side indicators/repeaters on the front wing like the JDM/UKDM/EUDM have. Actually looks better IMHO

Thanks! I think your GT4 is a much, much better example of a Celica though. Beats mine any day of the week. I just need to lower the car again and repaint a couple of things and the car will be looking exactly how I want it.

Hmm...Richee, if your sunroof is OEM that means mine must not be. My glass doesn't retract into the roof, yet rather just goes up.

Yes, mine is OEM. It's the second Celica with a sunroof that I've had, and both have been identical. That's curious that yours goes up instead of in. I'm guessing the install was clean if you are just now wondering if it isn't OEM. I wouldn't mind seeing some pictures of your moonroof, especially of the panel inside your car just to see if they used an OEM panel or if they cut into the non sunroof panel. But it sounds like whatever they did, if it isn't OEM, looks good. But your interior is so clean! I miss having a black interior. My red Celi had a black interior, and when I bought this car, I was excited about having a tan interior. But it's always dirty, and not the kind of dirty that you can fix with a vacuum. I always need to shampoo it. It's always stained from something. I definitely miss my black interior because of that.

I got to looking at my tail lights tonight to try and figure out why the turn signals were amber instead of clear. They have definitely been painted. Whoever did it did a good job though. I really had to look, and I only found one imperfection. The paint is very even. The giveaway turned out to be where they actually cut into the lenses. Both sides fit back together perfectly, with no gaps or anything. Even so, as good a job as it looks like was done, I'll keep an eye on them for leaks. I only paid $140 shipped to my door, so I can't say I wasn't expecting something like this lol

Thanks man, I appreciate that. I definitely vowed to keep the interior good and clean because she's sitting outside in the heat & sun and it's taking a toll on the painted exterior plastics...slowly fading. But the interior shall remain beautiful. thumbsup.gif

I'll take some pics of the sunroof today...the install is very OEM-looking, and the switch might even be OEM. I'm just wondering why someone would go to so much trouble to have a sunroof installed, yet leave the rest of the car stock. The other option is that it is indeed OEM, yet the sunroofs between the ST and GT models differ...but I kind of doubt that.

That's not it. My first Celica was a '96 ST hatch, with the same sunroof as my '98 GT hatch. The coupe may well have gotten a different sunroof, but I doubt if it did. I can almost see the roof panel in one of your pictures, and it looks as if somebody got their hands on the OEM sunroof panel. And if your switch is built in next to your dome light, then it is likely the factory switch. It really sounds like the previous owner wanted a sunroof in their car without looking tacky or out of place. And it sounds as though they did a god job.

That's exactly it, the switch is next to the dome light and looks factory (black with white lettering, Toyo-style) and the install is clean. Let me grab some pics.

Get the fronts tinted! How stable is the spoiler with the center post removed? Seems like it would be a lot more fragile.

I know, I've taken off my spoiler before...I'm not worried about it flying off, I'm more worried about the spoiler itself flexing too much.
