nice man, can't wait to see that. You definitely need to put up a vid of the dyno or at least a drag run smile.gif

Is that on a WRC engine / turbocharger? (steel wheel ct20b) or your regular ceramic turbine ct20b :S

ya unfortunatly im on a stock head with stock cams etc... lol! im starting to build my spare head right now and get ready to do that and swap the clutch out for an fx700 at the same time and turn the boost up lol. ALSO keep in mind im @ 6000 ft elevation which equates to about 300-500 rpms of spool are lost due to elevation sigh... stupid thin air lol

AH HA so it's as capable as i thought... great.
I guess this sorta encourages my rediculous plan if the stock head with stock valve timing flows enough to give you over 400 ft lbs of torque thanks alot man now i'm seriously going to do it hahaha.
I want to WPC treat the stock pistons and rods and buy new race spec main and rod bearings as well as piston rings have those WPC treated as well. Then run an emanage ultimate with 880 CC injectors and 264 degree cams using the factory turbo and water to air intercooler setup and see where it all maxes out. I guess your experiment also confirms i would need to upsize to a full turbo back 3inch exhaust. I'll let the clutch die before changing it just to see its exact limit.
Great work. I'm amazed that you got that far with the stock head. I'm going the route I'm going just so i can say i smoked an evo or a subie with a stock engine on stock pistons and stock rods with stock management using a stock turbo and intercooler hehe.

smile.gif smile.gif well ill tell you this, i feel completely confident that i could have made 550 awhp out of the stock head (obvously running WAY out of breath as it already is) BUT the clutch met its limits, it spiked over 450 wheel tq on the slipping run as far as i could see, the graph was all over the place but thats what it looked like to me lol although, once i build the head my chart will continue to climb instead of drop off so im sure i will pick up 40+ wheel hp at this level with great porting and cams etc etc. well find out soon! but ya the stock head will do it just NOT efficiently at all lol

if you're willing to take a hit in the pocket "for the team" as they say. I would like to see a dyno sheet with the current stock head with the cams for the built head installed and no porting or anything but the cams... Then a dyno sheet with the fully built head with the aftermarket cams. I'm suspicious that without a 1mm oversize of the valves on the built head the both passes may be negligibly close in power. I just wish i could prove it.

well the problem is that i have a gen3 head and im going to do shimless buckets due to lack of shims in the US, and i have to do US valves to do this.... so i mise well upgrade them and have the machine work done, OR i was actually going to just do cams and springs/retainers.... o well sux i was trying to stay on a budget lol! i ended up getting stuck with a us block and jdm head to use for this project (long story) so now that the turbo kit etc is setup for a gen3 head i kinda have to stay with the gen3 head. i have a spare here ready to build smile.gif ill prob do the built head and fx700 @ the same time.
