well, i dunno. to me, it seems pretty clear. one is just a turbo, that bolts to the stock exhaust manifold. the other (this one) is a turbo "kit", that includes a manifold, has a standard inlet flange (the pics on the 1st page show this), ect. besides the fact the thread for his bolt on turbo is like 6-8posts down from this one. seems pretty clear to me. just a matter of paying attention, and reading a bit. Ok before I get the hatorade tossed into my cookies, I am not clear on wtf you said - are you saying there is a GB in buying/selling for this? If so I just checked and it isn't there. And judguing by the date I am sure there is a few explanations: 1. GB for this is over and done with - if so I was unable to find it on the EMS website 2. GB hasn't taken place 3. I am on crack, blind, deaf, dumb, and stupid at the moment Please let me know. -Terracar http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=65521&hl= http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=65743&hl= So uh pressure - the two links - #1 is a link to THIS thread which is for a turbo kit WITH manifold & external wastegate (and is not the actual GB post/thread for it), #2 is a link to the kit WITHOUT the manifold (bolt-on w/ internal wastegate) - as was specified above by Baktasht which is a completely different sale - so yeah the links DIDN"T HELP. Ya, two totally different kits. One comes with it's own manifold and is our "top of the line" kit. The other bolts directly to the stock exhaust manifold and is our more "entry level kit" that is our answer to other turbo kits currently on the market. So here again - I am not sure we are on the same page. I DO NOT SEE A GB for the turbo kit (including manifold/external wastegate) mentioned in this thread - so thank you for trying to to help, but yeah 2 different items which is clear we aren't on the same page. So I am chalking it up to my assumption #2 above in my prior post - I await Baktasht to provide additional clarification. -Terracar This post has been edited by Terracar: May 14, 2009 - 12:00 PM -------------------- '92 ST185, '88 ST165, '05 Galant LS, '08 Legacy

They're two totally different kits. the kit being discussed in THIS thread is not released for public sale yet. We have sold around 6 of them as custom items and if you're interested in one please PM or email me and I'll get you availability and current pricing. The OTHER kit is the one that is currently available and there was a group buy on it that just recently ended.

Some of you have heard rumors of our new crazy turbo kit. And a few lucky people that stepped up to help us out with feedback after development already have the kit on their cars. This kit was in development for over a year. We are now releasing it for public sale. We are planning to start the first group buy for these kits this coming week, but I couldn't hold back my excitement for too long. Here are some teaser pics and a bit of information on the kit. The turbo we're using for this kit is the Borg Warner line of "Extended Tip Technology" turbos. These are extremely high quality german made turbos. You see a lot of high end sports cars like Porsche's running these turbos and you'll also find them on high horsepower Supra's, domestic V8's, and big power diesel's. These turbos have a very good compressor design. They spool fast, make great low end power, make great torque and have amazing top end. Not only that but they are much better built and have better reliability ratings than your typical t3/t4 or GT turbos. They make great power at low boost and they perform amazingly at high boost up to around 30psi without a hickup. Our standard warranty applies to this kit as well. Lifetime warranty on all parts except the turbo, and a 1 year warranty on the turbo. These turbos should realistically last 200k miles or more. The kit includes the following parts: * Borg Warner "Extended Tip Technology" turbo (Various sizes available for power levels from 300hp all the way to 700hp) * Stainless Steel turbo turbine housing * Optional polished turbine housing * Optional polished compressor housing * TIAL 38mm external wastegate (any color and any spring rate) * Stainless Steel wastegate dump tube / screamer pipe * 3" Stainless Steel downpipe with OEM O2 sensor bung and wideband O2 sensor bung * Downpipe support bracket * -4AN braided SS oil feed line * -10AN braided SS oil drain line * Custom machined fittings * Custom thick walled ramhorn exhaust manifold * Intake coupler to matte to stock intake * Mounting hardware * Gaskets * Optional hotpipe * Optional 3" or 4" intake * Optional high temperature ceramic coating on manifold, downpipe and wastegate screamer pipe Here are some teaser pictures. Please keep in mind that not all parts included in kit are pictured. Only the manifld, downpipe, turbo and wastegate dumptube are in the pictures. Start saving up for the group buy. I'll be posting it up in a few days. Pricing and more details will be posted up in the group buy. This thread is just for showing off. Enjoy! [/quote will it have/work with a water-cooled sprayer I/C? what would be a good ECU to match with it? i'm aiming for 400-500 whp on my gen6 GT (FF), this wouldn't have too much torque and cause instant wheel-spin or destroy the CV-Joints? also, can i electronically set the level of RPM where it kicks in? is it possible to set it to boost at the flip of a switch? There have been MANY MANY revisions since this thread was posted. See here for the final version of the kit: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=69593 * It will work with any type of intercooler setup, including one with a sprayer * You can run it on the stock ECU just fine, or upgrade to any of the aftermarket standalone ECU's or piggybacks for extra tuning capability * It really depeneds on how you drive. There's lots of guys running around with 400+whp without any issues. For the most part you should be fine. -------------------- |

Do you like your turbo? How does it spool up? Turbo is REDICULOUSSSSSSS! I LOVE IT. In fact I order 2 kits. One for Shannons car, and one for mine. They are the NICEST looking kit for the 3sgte I have seen, and the fact that it all fits under the stock heat shield with MINIMIAL cutting is AWESOME!!! I bought the S252 for Shannons car, and I was expecting som fair lag on it for such a large turbo....But that is the case. The turbo spools instantly when driving. By the time You are done feathering the clutch out while normal street driving you can hear the turbo spooling up....AND IT IS LOUD. The Shannons car sounds like a jet plane. I have no recieved the External DP yet, so I cant report on spool time to full boost or supply dyno sheets, but that will come in due time. Inital impression of the kit have EXCEEDED any expectaions, and I am thurely satisified...as I am sure you will be also. --------------------

i must agree with jim here... these things are loud... and i mean LOUD... altho from me experience its a gr3071 not a s252. its almost the same turbo except for a small boost in top end. I was worried about just how loud it was on the street i swapped to a broader filter to keep the noise down a bit, it still scares kids at any intersection
