About a couple months ago i had a guy kick my passenger back quarter panel and i was trying to fix it myself. Sand with 80 grit paper down to metal. Then apply body filler and shape then sand with 800 grit then with 1000 grit to ge the sand paper lines off.

First i would check behind it if there's room (after the interior is out) to push it from the back. there's other options, its just how "auto body" savy are you???

so you should probably use the hair dryer and the c02 on like a door ding correct? I put a picture of my dent on my first comment just incase you didnt see it. i got one of these anyone ever used it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdVpvL_FpoQ

^ Pure C02 can't damage your paint...however, if the dent violently pops out, there is a chance the paint could crack.

I have about...four of those as well. It might work though, I've heard of the same being done with ice cubes while the car is sitting in the sun.

I prolly wont work because 1. You cant really heat that part good 2. A dent with a crease wont pop.

i will give it a try in a couple of days and see if it works that pop a dent didnt work at all, and ive heard that the hair dryer and the c02 might work so i'll give it a run

Yeah I gave the C02 (Air Duster) and Hair dryer a try and it didn't work and I gave up. Then realized that the ding In my door has a crease so that was a huge disappointment frown.gif

ha that sucks man i hate this! i just want to get rid of my dent. i saw online it was saying get a 2X4 and put the end of the piece of wood to the middle of the dent and hit it lightly and it might work..

80 grit denotes the roughness of the sandpaper. Use that to sand through the paint and DOWN to the metal under it. Buy body filler, something like bondo, to fill the dent. Shape the body filler to the body, sand down, repeat and repeat and repeat until smooth. And then paint it, or have it painted.

write down what you dont understand, go to an auto store and tell them some guy on the internet told me to do this to my car cuz i have a dent i want gone thumbsup.gif then ask them how to use the products.

That's why you left such a retarded reply.

Do not use body filler to fix the entire dent. It WILL crack after a couple years, it WILL warp, and you WILL be paying to do it again if you use this method. Body filler is called body filler for a reason. If it was supposed to be a body "maker" it would be called body maker. Drill a hole, use a dent puller, and get it as close to straight as you can. Sand down to metal with a coarse sand paper, and take that rust off. Use SPARSE amounts of body filler to make everything line up correctly. You should NEVER go more than 1/4 inch thick with that stuff. Once the body filler is to your satisfaction and dry, sand with 100 grit (Less coarse than 80) Wipe dust off. Primer. Flash dry, Sand again. Wipe dust off, rinse and repeat using finer and finer grit sand papers as you go through primer, color, and clear coats. You should wind up using around 2000 grit by the time you're done.
