I was underneath my car the other night and I noticed that I have a leak that appears to be coming from my oil filter...

Sorry for the bad photoquality but you can kind of see the stream its leaving from the leak. Any suggestions on what could have caused it to leak? I tried hand tightening it a little but I don't think that helped. I'll be taking my car back into the shop tomorrow morning once again to get it looked at frown.gif

I would try not to use protec on my car Fram at least. The seal could have a crack or bad molding or whatever.

Yeah I'm guessing that's the one they put on there when I had the rebuilt engine swapped in. I guess protec isn't exactly pro? rolleyes.gif

Well that solves it. Turns out the oil filter wasn't seated correctly when it was first installed and it ended up warping so to speak the gasket/seal, so they swapped it. No more leak. Appreciate the help guys thumbsup.gif
