I really wanted to know what is the best offset, which I know there are threads that are about that. I may have to research those, but I wanted rims that look like these Enkei rims http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-Enkei-Sc...sQ5fAccessories

However, I wanted 17x8's and in silver color and NOT universal looking, meaning I want exactly 5 bolts/pattern. Any recommendations, some with a good if not perfect offset? My friend had some BBS on his 2nd gen eclipse before it got killed by a honda (an idiot driver), and his tires were very wide and the wheels were flush and perfect on his. 17x7 just seems too small of a tire to me, doesn't give that aggressive look.

So you want a mesh spoke design, in silver, 17x8, "proper offset", and only drilled 5x100?

Good. Luck.

Realistically you're only going to find REALLY expensive wheels that are only drilled 5x100, and even then the offset will be off. You're going to have to compromise in one category or another, so which one really isn't too important to you?

And 17x7 having small tires - have you thought about bigger tires? 205/45R-17 are skinny, that's why people put 215 and 225 on 17x7 wheels.

Let me do some digging. I know of a set that meets most of your criteria, but I'm doing those wheels and won't share that info until after I have them installed. smile.gif

Well I honestly don't know much when it comes to this stuff. My friend had 17's on his GSX and his wheels were frigging HUGE. And yes, the tires did come out more around the rims than mine, so maybe tires were it. So then what would a good size of tire be for some 17's? I am not trying to go super low, I think my height is good enough considering once I get that front lip, side skirts, and put on my rear skirts, it should make the car appear a lil bit lower by about 2" or so. I just want to fill the gap, make the tires/wheels to appear much larger and wider, with a decent offset.

17x7 I would go with a 215 or 225/45R-17
17x7.5 = 225 or 235/25R-17
17x8 = 235 or 245/45R-17

Of course the wider the wheel the closer to the strut and fender you're going to be, so as you go to a wider wheel and wider tires you're increasing the chance of rubbing.

If you can find a set of CCW Classics I would buy those. You can look into a company called J-line and check out their stuff. I can search once I'm home from work - scouring the interwebz is hard from a cell phone.

I'll probably PM you some stuff this evening.

If I had a set, I don't thing I would actually ever put them on. I would be afraid of anything damaging them. Those are pretty much my dream wheels.

Those look pretty sweet. I like them. But I can't imagine your car with any other wheels! Those wheels on it now scream Random_Stranger. Nobody else is allowed to have wheels like that. Those are only you. But.. I like what you are looking at as well. I hope you can find a set.

LOL Honestly, I felt that way too. When I look at it, even though it looks silly to people at first, eventually they get what I was trying to do with it. However, it was only a temporary thing just to stand out and look a bit different until I could actually make the car into a true GT-Four (in a sense). Just something I have been looking into, I kind of would rather have a more stock look, and I don't want to keep the rims because I do want to paint the car red (it's original color), as the car is just begging to go back to it's natural color as this colorful paint chips.

Well, when you do find your dream rims, I'll take those off your hands biggrin.gif I am planning on doing a nice repaint with a new color in the NEAR future, and those would work quite well, a lot better than my stockie 14s anyways hahaha

Yeah? You are going to need spacers though, like maybe 8mm. My rims have 100% NO Curb rash what so ever and really good if not perfect condition.

Yeah, I figured about 8mm or so, I'll play with it though to see what the best fit will be. Hey, even if there was some curb rash, it's all fixable. My lil 14s are getting annoying and, I do like how my stockies look, but I wish they were bigger. Plus, with having yours possibly, that'll give me time to refurbish my old ones to give to the needy. I definitely won't be able to use them again, I'm working on getting some bigger rims, cuz I'm trying to good ole bigger and better brake systems and trying to get everything fitting correctly, yet can't test them driving yet, cuz my rims are way too small to clear the calipers/rotors haha.

Yeah I will let you know then. I am just debating if and when I am going to buy the new rims and tires.

hey Faust, i must say those are some nice looking rims! but i think 18 would be to large. on that thought i need some help from all 6gc members.

I am looking for some leightweight 16 or 17 inch rims that weigh no more than 16 or 17 pounds each. I know that there are 17 X 8 enkei rpf1 with offset +35. 8" wide is pretty wide already. I know that having wide tires will slow down your car. wider is not always better. I do not want any rims that are more than 7.5 inches wide and the +35 offset from the rpf1 will clear stock st and gt brakes right?? I do not care how much the rims are...
