I thought those were f'n awsome the first time I saw them. I might order a pair but it depends on the price. Maybe some of us could get a groupbuy if others wanted them.

if they dont get a minimum of 25 people to deposit 25 dollars, then they're not gonna get a discount...they need to lower the price cuz a lot of people wont buy it cuz its expensive

Haha very too bad I dont do that anymore smile.gif I went back to delivering pizzas, then hit a deer, so now I cant deliver pizzas anymore.

In other news.... I agree with the price drop also, maybe if they were two hundred something instead of three hundred something.

I dont think this should be more than the price for jdm's. I would buy them for like $200. I think that is fair.

i just think they'd make more of a profit if they lowered the price. people would buy em for like 250 shipped compared to 400 shipped...but i think it would equal out at the end.

The reason they are not cheap is because it costs thousands of dollars to produce such a kit
you are paying for the work and tooling involved

It's just like for example when you buy a blitz exaust which woul cost over $1000 (in the uk anyway not sure about US)
you think that it's stupidly overpriced, surley a bit of steel does not cost that more than $50 trade and labour not more than another $50
you would probably be right....

but why you pay so much is because of the cost of superior design that went to producing the prototype which costs thousands and then the thousands spent on the tooling and machines to produce that prototype so that more will be able to be made for the retail market etc etc..

with these lights for axample the cast alloy block of the prototype which the special plastic is moulded on that just by itself cost in the reigon of $4000
all in all imagine investing approx $30,000 to produce these lights and the risk you take for your business to produce this kit hoping that you sell enough to just break even before you even make a profit...
and you will understand why some aftermarket items cost so much money
aside for paying for the quality of the item and the materials to make it
you have to take into consideration the amount of research, time , labour etc.. involved to manufacture a retail item never done before.

another one, why are veilside kits so much more than say a cheap copy of exactley the same kit which retail's at a quater of the price of the veilside!!!
fibreglass which is stupidley cheap and moulds of fibreglasss cost peanuts
arn't they making a huge mark-up compared to other copy kits???
No because they were the first to produce them and they spent $$$$$$ developing, designing, making sure it fits perfectley etc... and they have to recoup that cost which reflects in the price of the retail kit
whereas copy company just buy a kit where all the work has allready been done
and take a mould of it and pour in some cheap fibreglass and voila.. they have a the same kit at a fraction of the cost...

Comprende people....

maybe now you understand a little about the price of these lights.... smile.gif

i understand that...but not many people are gonna buy this kit because its too expensive...if nobody buys it, then they're not gonna get any profit off of this...BUT if they were to lower the price and like 100 people buy the kit for a cheaper price...if u do the math, they'd make more money...business and marketing...comprende? smile.gif

p.s the reason why veilside kits are so expensive is because they guarentee perfect fitment and they are more durable than the other kits out there... and i got my whole body kit for around 500 dollars....398 for taillights is just a bit much...im not starting isht with you cuz i still appreciate the tails and everythin and i think they look cool...im just tryin to get my point across and to let u know why they only have like 15 deposits rather than 25 or more.

Those tail lights are hideous..........looks stoopid on the Celi to me. Does not flow with the car well. I like the JDM tails much much better. To think they can't come up with a better tail light idea than those circles.

Well i cant order them on the site can i ? There isnt a price on the site, it only says i can reserve a copy by depositing 20 pounds. And i agree with others, 400 dollars is a lot of money for a pair of taillights. I would pay 300 max (shipping included).

I would rather spend my cash on the JDMs... oh wait.. I did biggrin.gif

I personally dont like em that much (quad ones) but they could look cool with the right paint/kit... diffently would mold them in wink.gif

edit: maybe if the photos where a little clearer and closer they would look better
