Was wondering what you guys think about changing the position light on my projector lights to indicator lights and converting my indicator lights to position/running lights?? Will be using led strip lights in the original indicator lights.

What if you were to change the location/aims of the bulbs. For instance, but the low/high beams where the signal lights are and then dimmer lights where the lowbeams are? You'd need to rig something up to aim the position lights but I don't see why you couldn't do that. As for the legality... probably not legal =_=

I don't even see how it would look good...the headlights are the main focus of the front, and it would look weird to have no light coming from them.

I don't think it's necessarily illegal. His front end would still have all of the necessary components- daytime running lights, turn signals, working headlights, the works. To my knowledge, the law only says that the light has to be visible from 500 feet away. As long as the lights are bright enough, it should be legit. There are all kinds of cars running around with the turn signals inside the headlight housing. I think it's kind of a cool idea, if you can get it to work right.

There's also the issue of directionality -- the turn signals must be visible from the front and sides.

Hey, if it doesn't work, it can always be undone. I say give it a try, Jeff.

i did this awhile ago... i took out my front indicators altogether and just used the accent light position as my turns... it was plenty bright with the right bulb... however in the US, we don't need daytime running lights so i was able to eliminate those altogether

I modified the projector housing to take the indicator blub instead of the accent bulb then shaved the holes for the old indicator assemblies. I wouldn't recommend using the accent bulb as indicator - it isn't bright enough. But with the indicator bulb in the projector housing it is fine. -------------------- Davey
