hey guys, so i want to lower my celi to get a better lookin stance bc to me the stock stance looks sooo tall, and im told that KYB shocks and struts with Eibach springs is good for my 95gt. im jus wonderin if i should go with a 1 inch drop or 1.5 or w.e.. lookin for some opinions and wonderin how smooth my ride will be, dont want it to be really bumpy, hoping it wont be.

Tein SS coils.... expensive but well worth it, -2.5, +2.25 of adjustablility
Its a sporty ride but its comfortable.... your rubber will have a big effect on how stiff the ride is (if u go below a 45 tire, or use a vr series)

you don't need a bigger tire for comfort you can also compensate instead of 45 series you can get like a 225 for example. My 225 looks the same or bigger than a 45 series tire. its all in combination.

well i planned on keepin my stock tire and rim bc i painted my rims and im happy with the way they look and to me its alot cheaper bc i dont have the money to go out and buy nice rims and tires. so idk if that would make a difference, cuz the set up i was gunna go with was prob gunna run me around 400, 200 for shocks and 200 for the struts and shocks.. i wasnt sure how far down i should go with it, and will it effect my gas milage lowering my car?

^ There are NO shocks on our cars, only MacPherson struts all around. I've found the fronts for 50 each and the rears for 58 on Amazon. Springs will run you around 200, so it should be around 420 in total. thumbsup.gif

Its still a shock lol, its just inside the strut.

but yeah I have eibach pro-kit, a good spring but the back is still way too high, you need atleast 1.5 drop in the rear I think and 1 drop in the front.

Looks fine, but you can't take a sloped driveway, speed bumps, debris in the road, etc.

OP- A popular combo on here is KYB GR-2 shocks (entire rear assembly, shock inserts in front) with Tein S-tech springs. 1.5" drop in front, and 1" in the rear. It sets the car up with an aggressive looking stance.

Presure2 has the sportline springs, which are reported at 1.5" all around.

Look through the member's ride section and see what you like.

More on this...why not do the entire assembly all around? Reason I'm asking is because I'm about to purchase that.


This is the same thing I did. Just the shock absorber inserts for the front and entire assembly for the rear. Cheaper that way.

The shock is the only moving part in the strut assembly. You aren't cutting any corners by just getting a new insert.

Both the front and rear have wet struts with integrated shocks. The difference between the two is that the fronts have a big retaining nut, allowing you to remove the shock pistons and put new inserts in. The rears don't have the retaining nut, everything is permanently intact.
