Btw, I came to the sudden realization. DONT TAKE A CAR WITH DECALS TO AN AUTO CAR WASH. I've done this like 4 times since I put the decals on with no problems. On the black box that encloses the 4 on the passenger side, a small part of it has chipped off. Needless to say, even though almost impossible to see, it pissed me off. I'll be doing washes by hand, but now I'm worried about winter. If ice is on there, then gets ripped off on a bump, I don't want it to take vinyl with it. If it gets worse, sad as it sounds, I'll be removing the decals and focusing on making it just a simple white Celica... which would break my heart. Maybe I'm over reacting to a freak situation, but now I'm just nervous about what I thought would be a 5-7 year long strong bond. ANYwho... what you could do is clear coar over the decals to prevent them from being destroyed and would also protect from fading. P.S. I keep forgeting to call you but my drill is in your car. I will prob. just come up there so that we dont have to ship it. |

While it protects it, when the decals start to loosen up over time, then instead of just having to take off decals, you'll have to respray the car because of the clear coat damage. That and, decals flex with heat and cold. It would cause the clear coat to crack very quickly. This post has been edited by CastrolCelica: Dec 7, 2009 - 11:30 AM -------------------- |

A perfect day for .......MUDFLAPS! Just got them in last night , and today it's snowing. Couldn't be better . They're big, very thick and durable, and the rears have a nice support plate that I kinda wish the fronts had as well. Don't bother with the self tapping bolt for the fronts, it doesn't work.. I tried. The rear need you to bolt, washer and nut the last hole so it's connected to the metal plate on every hole. Took about 35 minutes to install, and that was mostly because the directions were very vague and I was trying to figure out what they heck it all meant. Besides the one bolt, washer and nut on the rear two , just use your stock screws. They're better than what the kit came with. Also, don't bother with the 5mm spacer. It's pointless.

Unknown, surprise Christmas gift???? Haha, I can't afford to do all that atm . As for coming down, I donno when I could to be honest with you. My month is very busy with the holidays, my other project, and my wedding. He said he might be able to come up though and pick it up, which would be great, so we'll see. Either way, his drill is safe and sound and waiting for Aerl. If he wants me to ship it instead, I don't really mind at all. Thanks for the compliments on the flaps. I love them. -------------------- |

sorry, but if you put mud flaps on and lower the car, it will not look right at all. just my opinion. if you're going for the rally look, leave it stock height. it'd be like putting mud tires on a low rider truck, very contradicting.

Haha, I never intended on lowering it. That was all Kyle . I do however plan on replacing my suspension, but trust me. It wiil stay stock height. Like you said, it would look weird to see a lowered rally car. This post has been edited by CastrolCelica: Dec 7, 2009 - 3:14 PM -------------------- |

You'll need a lot of time, and one other person. It took us 3 solid work days, and I wouldn't have been able to do it myself that's for sure. I can't wait to see it on your Corolla. I really like the style of your car and it will be nice to see ours match. One question though. You had blue mudflaps on yours, didn't you? Are you going to change them out? -------------------- |
