With nothing to do this weekend i decided to paint the valve cover, cold weather didnt help, but this will do for now smile.gif

A little off topic, I know, but those headers, you have any probs with "emissions" up here? And your right, cold weather makes painting suck. But looks nice.

I like it. Red always looks good and the detail in the paint look good, until alot ive seen where its a big thick blotch of paint and destroys the engine bay. This keeps a grainy texture, which i like. Im personally thinking going for a polished look. Getting some sandpaper and sanding it for a glossy shine finish.

Haven't checked as of yet, i made sure i got my inspection right before installation.

hey man, cover looks good! thinkin about doin somethin to mines too, was ur gasket messed up when u removed the cover? jw i dont want to damage mine when i take my cover off

its always good to have a gasket ready just in case, but considering mine was replaced <2k miles i knew i was safe. Little silicone and krinkle paint and i was set. Remember if you do take the cover off to put it back on just like you would lug nuts (far side, inner opposite, next inner, and outer and so on till youre at the right torque).

finally had a nice sunny day to get a shot. Also installed the tails i got in over the past weekend!







Unfortunately didn't have them on for this combo.


On a side note.. i just hit 115k miles today. How miles fly.

nice, did you manually mask those line details on top of the cover?

Nice car!
But I highly recommend you step up to a bigger tire size. It will help fill in the wheel wells and over all look better.
