Has anyone installed green EBC stuff brakes?
I was looking to upgrade as the front brakes need replacing but was wondering if i'd notice much improvement. I can get standard brakes and discs for £50 through the company i work for, so im getting quite a saving, is it worth paying the extra for performance parts? |

I have green on mine,
They will stop you on a dime. Definitely great pads for stopping power. However, they're ever so slightly squeaky (right as they start to make contact, then it goes away) and leave a lot of dust. My 7gc wheels look like I repainted them gun-metal after a week or so.... Definitely worth the money though! -TC -------------------- Live your life for yourself. I went for the standard discs and pads this time, couldnt really afford to go for the upgrade, i did get 60% off the price as well, as the place was linked to the company i work for, so that was a big incentive. just a shame they only do the standard parts.
Now i just have to find the time to fit them |

Ive heard the greenstuffs are used on SUVs and heavey cars, yellowstuffs are for street and track cars and red stuff is full on track, but obviously they will stop you but for the full potental you should get the right pads for ur car. reds will produce alot of dust where the yellow produce minimal amount.

not a fan of ebc pads. true the yellow and reds are supposed to be a good performer on the track and at autox, but for daily driving i heard it takes a while to get them to work well and you have increased stopping distance until they get warmed up. as far as the greens go, i had a friend with them on his stage 4 wrx and my stock srt4 brakes were out performing his green stuff pads. we went for a canyon run and he had to keep pulling off to the side of the road every 3-4 miles to let his brakes cool, where my stock brakes were just fine.
later i upgraded to powerslot slotted rotors and hawk hps pads and i really really liked them. i cannot recommend them enough if you are looking to upgrade your brakes, but don't want to go with a big brake kit. never had brake fade with them once and i drove my srt hard as hell in the canyons. the price was good for the hawk pads as well, like $60-70 for the fronts. another great thing about the hps pads were that they were perfectly fine to drive around town and not have to worry about warming them up to make sure you stop in time. they also had about the same if not a little less brake dust than the stock pads, even when driving the car hard. i know my friend with the wrx always had a lot of brake dust on his oz wheels from the ebc greens. |

I have EBC turbo groove (drilled and slotted) discs all round with TRD black pads up front, they handle track use without complaint, are quiet on the street and arent dusty. Everything you could want really.
