Please dont bash about turbo's being better...... im well aware they are.
never the less, lets discuss: a procharger is simply the half way point between SC and Turbo, a turbine inlet for air, and a pulley insted of an exhaust turbine flow mount an addition pulley to the crank and sit it somewhere out of the way (below the alt?) of course the power loss/gain wont be that great... whine of a SC with reliability of a turbo... AND NO LAG!! This post has been edited by Mstoochn: Dec 21, 2009 - 1:27 AM |

Thats if you remove the AC. Cost wise, not worth making a kit. It would be great for the unique prospective of making power, but just not worth the cost.

remove AC. Use the harmonic balancer to spin the procharger. Mount the procharger right under the alternator, like you originally stated. Get a dual inlet/outlet fmic and bam you're twincharged.

To be honest theres like little to no room, under the alternator. Unless you find a super small procharger and figure out a way to mount it in the stock AC location. Why not fab up an intake manifold to use a supercharger?

Why not fab up an intake manifold to use a supercharger? too much effort for an alrdy powerful engine... the only reason this is on my mind at all is that lil doucher _jim_ went away from his original s252 idea and now hes wants to go bigger.... i cant settle to be beaten by that hob goblin... LOLOLOLOLOL, I planned on running around 25psi on pump gas anyway.....turbo size STILL didnt matter THEN. I will also be setting up a 35psi race gas tune, but I welcome the competition. Looks like it wont be done until the summer anyway.

Lol 2 bars of boost and a 500 shot would be SICK! A twin charge setup is pretty neat, have you seen the camry on TN? Tony the Tiger (I think) built it and its pretty mean.

procharger don't have oil or water circulation, they use their own oil(6kmiles durability ) and no water cooling, so they are very easy to install with good adjustable brackets and custom belt
