its not a civic, unless your getting a gt4 hood and dont have the latch to keep it secure then it would be ok to use them, but whenever i see hood pins they just scream RICER

main purpose of them is if you have an aftermarket hood/carbon fiber hood and the hood does not come with a factory latch like your old hood. Then of course it is necessary...

hood pins are a must have for any person driving with a carbon fibre hood. Last year when I was driving in my daily driver celica my invader hood latch broke, ripped out both brackets, broke windshield and damaged roof all because hood latch mechanism is unreliable. All racing muscle cars have it ESPECIALLY those that are out on the quartermile track all the time. It is a lot easier to remove hood that way.

If you are using hood pins think of them as safety measure. But err I would not use them unless you are using a carbon fibre hood. Metal latches are pretty reliable.

this is kind of my thinking and i would not even think about it but i'm really worried that my hood will flip up, trying to find someone to modify my latch to fit the gt4 hood but it was suggested to me to put on pins, i hate to ruin the flow of the hood but i want it to be safe also, thanks for the input and keep um coming...

Hood pins will be fine, just don't buy the cheap cotter pin hood pins. Spend some money and get the Aerocatch hood pins. They're near flush and I believe you can paint them.
