hope to have the quick shifter in this weekend, and the decal! will be going on once I've had time to tidy up my intake manifold.

I want a TRD Quickshifter! Does this mean you have a spare TRD knob? biggrin.gif

Good you got the air temp sensor, Have you found where to wire that in? or are you going to run your own pair of wires straight into the ECU plug?

I have a spare OEM Rubber grommet, You'll need a 20mm hole in your intake pipe right by your air filter.

also took my celica on my local track again. I noticed a big difference between stock suspension setup and my current one (springs and F&R strutbraces). however there is still loads of bodyroll and understeer (so wont be needing a front swaybar anytime soon) manage to shave about +2sec off previous time

Sway bars, new tyres...nuff said lol

maybe first my brother wanted it for his toyota, now he wants a TRD SS, so maybe well see (kind of interested in that grommet)
the TRD SS looks great, I've noticed a couple of differences between stock and the TRD SS, has a moveable clip on the stick, which is for the boot to stop it moving down, and a slight differnt angle on the bends on the stick looks smoother. cant wait to the weekend to put it in, the instructions I got do not help one bit tongue.gif

Yeah glad I finally got the AITS, though when I first saw it it looked like a bit of LEGO laugh.gif. Yup have the stock loom for it, will have to sort out my cold airbox first, so just after the airfilter, have you got a photo on your SS-III?

thanks, I'm quite impressed in the amount of stuff your doing aswell. yea I heard your one is discountinued now, dont see why you cant use our ST20# trd one?? (besides the cost kindasad.gif)

so does that mean your 3sge swap is in progress now?

cheers mate

my quickshifter isn't really a 'shortshifter' its more of a 'quickshifter'

the shifter leaver is only a bit shorter about an inch if that (from the top where the gear knob is, to the shifter housing) however inside the shifter housing the shifter leaver is longer & lower than the stock one (hence the reason for those 4 clips when installing a quick/short shifter)

wait quickshifter really. So you can only move the shifter up and down. Its not a stand short shifter where you can still move into all five gears??

Still the normal 5 gears, however the throw or movement to all gears are shorter. By changing the shift lever ratio, I've shortened the shift stroke to get into each gear. Just because it looks the same height, you can be fooled into thinking its a stock shifter.

well time for an update, I've kept a secret for a while....
but first before I show you what I've been up to. Firsty I'd like to thank Clint (TRDGT4) & Mike (delusionz) for there help
Thanks guys!!

just a little history on how it happened
QUOTE
Late Augest talking to Delusionz about Rims, said he’s found at set of 6GC rims

07 of Sept: found out trd suspension kit discontinued on website. Checked out websites which carried trd parts, nothing frown.gif Contacted Clint he suggested RHDparts

23 Sept: registered and bought the TRD suspension.

16 Oct sad news now they cant do the TRD suspension, discountinued everywhere
22 Oct Contacted rim shop & bought 6GC rims
23 Oct Decided to go with SS Tein adjustable for $NZ2,000 with a slight discount since they felt sorry for me (and got difference payment back, usually these go for sale in NZ for +NZ$3,000)
30 Oct Rims arrived
31 Oct Tein suspension left Japan

06 Nov talked to heaps of powder coaters to work out prices etc
09 Nov Went to a local powder coater talked me through the process: sandblasted then a zinc primer coat (this prevents the final coat from coming off on sharp corners and increases life of the rims) then power coated in arctic white
13 Nov Picked up the rims, all I could say was wow

15 Dec suspension arrived in NZ and cleared NZ Customs.
18 Dec custom fee payed (Only $NZ63, I looked on their website was actually looking like $250 based on our GST 12.5% ) and are shipped to me.
19 Dec Tein arrived

8 Jan 225/45/R16 tyres on new rims & installed

and as promised here are the pictures smile.gif

6spoke facelift GT4 rims (16" x 7.5 45offset) great condition, no curbing & very few minor scratches

after powdercoating

The Tein suspension

Wowwwwzer, the rims! You got the centre caps powercoated too right? You better get some spacers on them too rusty!
Oh and tein thats some expensive **** you have there. Tell me how they are when you have them on and if its worth the extra buck.

You must be so broke right now. But so happy.
