That is what they told me on Toyota Slovenija. My Celica has 162000 km... not that much 100000miles. What would be the diference between 5w 30 10 w 30? -------------------- 1. 1995 Alfa Romeo 145 1.6 Boxer (blown engine)

5w40 is a great full synthetic for below freezing temps to reduce engine ware, but its not rated above freezing for our vehicles 5w30 is a lmore viscous form compared to 10w30, 5w would be more "watered down" and flow more, at the same time, on a high milage engine that thinner oil could leaker MORE. in your case, it looks like ur burning oil becuase your using SUPPPER ****ING THIN OIL THATS FULL SYTHETIC!!!! i would suggest semi-sythetic 5w30, or 10w30 if you live in a warmer climate. let it sit for a day or 2 and start it up, give it a bit of gas and have someone watch for blue smoke out the tail... if thats not the case, start looking for leaks |
