I can't part it. I already told the lady I only needed the tranny, axles, EMS and engine. I spend last night looking around for what I needed for the swap, since this hasn't been done inthe island yet on a Celica. So far I got from Manny that I would need:
Axles: Inner shaft = '91 MR2 Turbo (have them already with the tranny) Outer shaft = '91 Camry V6 Mounts: ST205 mounts and brackets (front, rear, and driver side) Shifter cables: ST205 cables Speed sensor: '93+ E153 electronic sensor Tranny shifter selector arm/lever/related BS: ST205 If I missed anything, point me. I'm 100% this is everything I need swap wise. I still need the brake and clutch pedals since my car is an automatic. -------------------- |

if you have to store your car for awhile you can make your own dehumidifer using a few plastic containers and calcium chloride but put it somewhere it wont spill and take it out before you drive the car

good deal, man, what are the plans for this beast?? Thanks, man. I'll finally be cool like you guys. My plans are to make a minimum of 400 WHP and eventually when I learn, be able to touch 11s this year, even if it's 11.9, just so I'm not the wimp of our group, lol. My tuner has 600 WHP in his MR2 and his brother's MR2 will be pushing around a bit less when he finishes his build. The turbo I have already gave my friend a bit over 400 WHP in his 2ZZ-GE. Can't remember the exact number. If in my application I have to push it too much to get there, I won't. I will then get an expensive-ass Precision Turbo 6262 (billet goodness, baby) so I can get that number with less boost. My friend has a 6265 and the thing just gives you over 500 WHP without boosting it too much. I like that idea. -------------------- |

tranny shifter selector / and related parts can be obtained from a Camry V6 manual, Lexus ES300 Manual and Solara V6 manual
I have a set of shifter cables if you are interested and the mounts you can use Celica GT mounts except for the rear, the rear HAS to be ST205 to work with the e153. I also have the rear mount and bracket. PM me if interested on ST205 cables and rear mount. the rest of the stuff you should be able to find over there to save some money. -------------------- |

Since it's supposed to be a child support payment, I'm sure she'd appreciate the help with using what will become a giant crumpled paperweight to generate some income from it. That is, if you're willing to help her out of course. But clearly she needs the money, it would definitely be a very nice thing and good deed to help her out! -------------------- |

Well, it would be a good deed but the problem is I don't even have time to do my things. I just don't have the time to part out a car. She can do it. She's young and has time. She doesn't work. She has all the time in the world, and so is her undisciplined ex-husband. : Culpable, thanks a bunch, man. Will PM you right now. You're saving me a bunch of money and time by selling me those parts. -------------------- |

A sweet and sour day for me yesterday. The 7A-FE is out of the car.
We pulled the 3S-GTE out of the MR2 on Tuesday. What a pain in the ass. Ugh. I officially hate them. The engine will be refreshed this week, CP forged pistons installed and the custom intake and exhaust manifolds will be made. I started college so I won't be doing any grease monkeying. My mechanic will do everything. That's the update so far. I still need to buy the HKS cam gears (pretty) and the Brian Crower spring and retainer set. The cams will be installed after the engine is dynoed so we can see how much was gained. That's it for now. -------------------- |

EXACTLY. I agreed to buy the engine and tranny, paid her, and took the car on a flatbed to my house. I got done on Tuesday with it, and I sent it on the flatbed back to her house. That car is toasted, man. The driver side floodboard is warped. It has ridges like a Ruffles chip. It is unrepairable. I told her to just part it. My mechanic, who's her cousin, bought the roof mounted intake and other parts for his MR2. I wouldn't take that car for free even if she gives me $1,000.

Guess it'll be an Out Of Body Experience going from an auto 7A-FTE setup to a manual 3S-GTE.

I found a good paint shop so I changed plans. We were going to paint the engine bay ourselves, install the swap and then have the rest of the car painted, but I'm saving $500 by painting the entire car first. I'm getting the car painted this week and then we'll finish swapping in the good stuff. We'll have to be extra-careful.
