It looks pretty good, but I've never heard of that brand. Also, at that price, I'd rather go with a brand you're familiar with. You could get two nice Alpines or maybe even JL Audio's at that same price if you look hard enough on Ebay. I'm not saying that those speakers might not be good, but I like to go with quality stuff when it comes to my music.

^^^ What he said. Even if it's not for that price, even if you found those speakers for, say, $20. I still say spend the money and get quality stereo equipment. You'll thank yourself every single time you turn the radio on. Especially since you have a vert, you need good quality stereo equipment- something that can reliably attain high volumes for extended periods of time. I don't imagine that going topless means going musicless for anyone. My philosophy on car parts, and this applies to music as well, is that if the company doesn't do R&D, don't buy the part.

If you're looking for eight-inch woofers, consider Focal 210CA1 or Memphis Audio 15-MA8.

Thanks for all the advice. I was looking at putting the oversize Alpine 6.75 speakers in the front, but was worried that I would lose too much bass by having smaller woofers. If I go with the focals will have to save up for those.

Has anyone actually installed the Focal 210CA1? I am looking to buy them, but Crutchfield's Signature website says that they do not fit the Celica. There are a plethora of smaller speakers that they say fit, so I find that odd. If anyone who has installed them can share some feedback about the installation, as well as the sound quality of these speakers, I would appreciate it. Also, FYI, Crutchfield Signature sells them for $249, while www.sonicelectronix.com sells them for $169 plus about $20 shipping.

thats cause the celica is listed at having a 6.5 inch speaker... cause it does
you will only lose bass IF you have an 8 speaker setup... otherwise get 6.5" speakers great choice with the memphis too... i love mine This post has been edited by pittfirefighter: Jan 10, 2010 - 10:48 AM -------------------- Breaking Axles...

I've got the Focal 210CA1 in my fifth-gen Celica, which only carried the eight-inch speakers in the doors. The problem's not really the depth so much as it is the width of the rear magnet. The edges of the Focal magnet interfered with the window mechanism unless a 7mm spacer is used, but I only know that's true for the fifth-gen. It may well be that the sixth-gen doesn't require a spacer -- but if it does it's hardly a big issue. As for quality, they are beautiful. Rich, clean sound with impressive bass. |

I do have an 8-speaker setup. So, are you saying that the 6-speaker Celicas have 6.5" front woofers, and the 8-speaker Celicas have 8" ones?
