oh ok. I get it you still shift into all 5 gears but you shift faster gotcha! thanks that cleared up some things. what other options are there for quick shifter, the 7th gen shifter? I know there is one trd quick shifter on ebay at the moment but im sure that wont be up for grabs in about 6 months from now.

not yet. the centre caps are plastic, so would have melted when they would have baked the rims. what I can do is get them colour matched. Although they do look quite nice without the caps, makes the rims look deeper. the rims do full the guard quite well even though its a 45 offset, I think a could fit a 8mm spacer (5mm + 3mm) and still get 6 wheel nut turns, anything bigger would need to get it cert'd the same time as adjustables. quite cheap if you consider I was trying to buy trd suspension brand new well from what if heard from other users they do the trick

I spend my money carfully, getting ready to do some research on the next part.

I think yes others are using the 7th gen shifter (trd I'm not sure) might be why their one looks shorter, due to difference in trim? Yeah thanks. I'm really happy with the rims. will still have the 7gc rims as spares I think.

Btw you might be able to pop those small Toyota caps in from the 7gen Wheels Or maybe just some small blank white ones.

yeah toyo's 225/45r16 93W's handle alright lots of grip I think, handle alright in the wet aswell.

haha well actually we tried the 7gc caps, but different design & they use a lip. Where could I find these caps?

Repco or super cheap maybe? not too sure... maybe u could adapt something...

225/45 r 16. Hmm nice choice. do the tires protect your rim? get some more pics of the rims from different angles. you car is coming along nicely

I know center caps from a Prius fit a lot of OEM Toyota wheels...such as tC wheels.

So, in short, sell me your Toyota center caps.

thats just after putting the teins in when we pulled of the other wheel it was just off the ground, as you see lots of clearance

weight standard 8.6kg & the are tein 7.9kg I'm pretty sure

Question: Have you got a bigger, smaller or same rolling diameter on the new 6 spoke wheels 225/45R16 vs the 205/50R16 on the old 7th gens?

I was looking through your pics and the wheels looked really small on your car, I'm thinking maybe it's because my tyres are too tall at the moment I've got the wrong size 215/55R16. Maybe that's why you held off until you got the coil overs in to lower it more so the small looking wheels wouldnt look funny?

I didn't expect this to happen, but it may just be all in my head.

205/55R15 - 606.29 mm (SS-I Stock)
205/50R16 - 611.37 mm (SS-II Stock)

215/45R16 - 599.69 mm
215/50R16 - 621.28 mm (SS-III & GT-Four Stock)
215/55R16 - 642.87 mm

225/45R16 - 608.83 mm
225/50R16 - 631.19 mm

I'm pretty sure its the same (if not might be out a couple of mm's out)

factory specs on the door sticker:
195/60R15 88H
205/55R15 87V

Did the fronts in the afternoon yesterday.





weight for Teins 6.9kg factory was 9.2kg


weather was ok, sunny and hot, butwith big storm clouds on the way, Tein where all installed & went inside for a break. The it starts pissing down



manage to get all the tools etc out if the rain, after 5 minutes it stops and we carried on







Cant have the fronts too low, due to some big speed bumps, & I dont want to 'crab' it everwhere.

maybe not the best example heres before tein



Put the dampner on the hardest setting, VERY bumpy. driving along, but braking is just so good, got the dampnering setting on 12 (I think thats what tein recommends aswell)

Seriously, that is awesome though. How hard was it to get the old struts loose? And which type of end links did you buy, assuming you replaced them? Looks awesome, I wish you many happy miles with those! I have to say your paint looks brilliant as well, it shines nicely. Recently repainted?
