Taken from ToyoDIY.com, just making sure I have things straight before I go buy these - both are missing from my car.

Ignition keyring
81870F CAP, KEY CYLINDER LAMP BULB
81870E BULB, KEY CYLINDER LAMP
81870D LAMP ASSY, KEY CYLINDER
81871 LENS, KEY ILLUMINATION
81871-20030 AT200, ST204..ST 1 $10.37

Cigarette Lighter
85500 LIGHTER ASSY, CIGARETTE
85500-28050 AT200, ST204 1 $39.52
85513 COVER, CIGARETTE LIGHTER
85513-12020 AT200, ST204 1 $6.07
85515 STAY, CIGARETTE LIGHTER BEZEL
85515-14010 AT200, ST204 1 $10.50
85520 KNOB AND ELEMENT ASSY, CIGARETTE LIGHTER
85520-28010 AT200, ST204 1 $24.36

Also, assuming I do have these correct, do I use the part numbers with dashes after them when I go to my toyota dealer? I'm assuming yes.

Edit: Sheeeit just noticed I may not have the wiring to that light, will have to check tomorrow. If I don't, does anyone have that number or will it be a diy on my end?

You probably DON'T have wiring for the ignition light, you'll have to wire it in to another light. I believe you can wire it to your dome light, or if you want it on all the time with your parking lights, you can wire it to your dimmer. Just don't swap LEDs in there, or if you do, don't ever use your dimmer.

I don't ever use my dimmer anyway - already have LEDs in the gauge cluster.

If I wire it to the dome light will it only come on with the dome light? (I'm assuming yes.) If that's the case I'll be wiring it to the dimmer.

Also, I have all the numbers I need, correct?

If you use it, it'll blow the LEDs since they're not getting the power they need.

If you have regular type 194 bulbs, you're fine. I have type 194 wedge base LED bulbs from superbrightleds.com however, makes my dash really bright.

Ah, I see! I have 194 LEDs in my dash, and I have gotten some problem with them. Suddenly they start blinking/flashing, so maybe this is the result of using the dimmer with LEDs?

I have changed the LEDs now, and never used the dimmer since.. I have no blinking/flashing yet!

When they start blinking, they're about to go. The one that lights up my temp/fuel gauge was doing it last week and then it burnt out. I don't know why it was just that one, but I'm going to replace it anyway.

Also, side note - still looking for confirmation that I have all the part numbers I need for both assemblies.

That's fine, I'll be wiring in my own red LED. Or if that's a type 74 bulb I have three on the way from superbrightleds.com.

Hopefully those numbers are all I need then, if anyone happens to catch something please let me know - also, RoyO, thanks.

I have a spare clear ignition ring I could send you?

96+ is a black non lightup one
however 94-95 had the clear AND

all 5gen have the clear light up and its the same piece. so check your wreckers for a 5th gen or a 94-95 6th gen.

as for the ciggy lighter ring, you should already have it... there are many ways to jam a bulb in there and make it stay, you could adapt a spare holder from behind your dash for example.

this piece here.....

if you are very careful you can drill out the bulb and slot in a 3mm LED from the underside... I've broken a couple of those in my attempts, i also have a spare 1.

I'll send both for a humble NZ$10 + shipping smile.gif

My '95 Celica ST had a black non-lightup key-ring. I think the GTs came with the light-up one.

The keyring was an option on our cars when they were brand new.

I have all my parts already - ordered them from my local toyota dealer a few days ago. I'm going to do a write up on what each one is because I bought some parts I don't need, and it sucks cuz I can't return them since they were a special order.

@Delusionz - Previous owner removed the entire lighter assembly because he didn't want anyone smoking in the car. I want it for accessories. I'm going to wire an led in there with a resistor so that it doesn't blow but right now I have a cheapo aftermarket one and it doesn't mount up properly.

Thanks for offering though. Feel free to sell them to andreslr.

Thats different to JDM then, because all 1994-95 JDM models from the lowest model SS-I to SS-II have the clear lightup ring, also the 1994 GT-Four does aswell.

However in 1996 no model SS-I SS-II SS-III nor GT-Four have it at all. I've even heard from a former 1998 GT-Four owner that he didn't have it either (Just incase you were wondering if they brought it back)

Do the USDM GT's post-96 still have a clear light up keyring?

I really miss how nicely it worked from factory where it would come on when the door opens and fade away after 5 or 10 seconds.. These days with my 1996 models I have it wired into the ignition power (defeating the purpose of it to show you where to stick your key in at night.

I wonder if its fine to tap into both the dome light circuit and the ignition circuit at the same time with some kind of capacitor delay if anyone has mastered that simply without a pcb it would be awesome.

I had a 94 st with the ring.
Happens to be my car is a 96 and...no ring.

It's really a shame they would do that though, the ring was such a nice accent to the car.

Well, in my case, is. biggrin.gif
