If you're just looking for opinoins, I'll voice mine. I say Don't. But here's my reasoning. I've driven 6gcs and I've driven SW20s. Personally, SW20s are an awesome weekend cruiser and track car. Very uncomfortable for a daily. They are cramped with NO space for daily necessities that you would need. If you have a 2nd vehicle as a DD, Hell ya go for it. SW20s are a very fun car, but not practical. Not to mention a PITD to work on lol

That's cuz you got a GT4...... No its cause ive already got an MR2 Okeiii.... So you got an awsome GT4, AND a nice MR2. Wanna swop for my 96 ST? It got a kicking stereo though To bad things are so expensive in norway. I've spent like 3-4 times the money to get where u guys are. Atm im at a total of 18.000$ spent on my 96ST. Car was 11.600 $. Thats what a totally stock ST costs in Norway. Sux. Imagine what i could have had for that amount of cash anywhere else in the world. Sadface wants a GT4!:P |

What daily necessities do you require that the 6GC provides and the MR2 doesn't? Only things I can think of is back seats (when you DD you're typically riding solo anyways) and no cup holders (cupholder install is well documented on mr2oc). I can pack a full cart of groceries neatly in the trunk with no problems. I recently went on a camping trip where my girlfriend and I packed a cooler and our gear in the trunk and firewood in the frunk (minus mini spare tire, but who uses them anyways). I easily rack up 100 miles A DAY in the car for work, generally hauling a Point Of Sale system or two and I don't have one complaint. I am not saying your opinion is wrong, but I suppose I would like it if you could ellaborate a bit for me. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

If you are single, go for the MR2. The only bad thing is, you only have room for 2 women (one on the other's lap in the passenger seat). People in the back seat cause accidents, accidents in the back seat cause people. Secondly, the MR2 is going to dramatically increase in value in just 9 short months. In 2011, it will be considered a classic which can be beneficial to you if you do decide to resell. In just a short period of time you can get a return on your investment and afford a very nice 6g or a 6g+swap with the profits. Last but not least, it is a whole other world. I love my Celica and my MR2 equally but for completely different reasons. Its like trying to say you love your sister more than your brother.... they're your siblings and you love them both- but for different reasons. I say drive it first, make sure its something that suits you. -------------------- Visit My Myspace

My mechanic has an MR2 and I think it's comfortable, but maybe it's because it's a fun car. I'm 5'8", though. I would say it's a bit cramped compared to a 6GC, which has a lot of leg room and rear decoration seats (who te hell fits there?). Isn't that funny? You ride in any recent car and then ride in a 6GC and you feel like in a can of tuna. It's just small inside. But then you ride in an MR2 and the Celica feels like a Maybach. -------------------- |
