Cytosport Muscle Milk....chocolate....tastes awesome when VIGORIOUSLY mixed into milk. (if u dont mix it well...ull get floaty things and it will taste like dry powder) it contains 16g of protein per serving. (there was a new one that had like 32g per serving but that just seemd ridiculous)
I take 1 scoop (they supply the scooper) in 6-8 oz of milk after a work out.

edit: Anything with Whey protein is the way to go

I take daily vitamins, along with 16oz milk in the morning, 16oz milk with 1 scoop whey protein (30g) before and after a workout. Also, watch your daily diet, that will have a lot to do with losing weight and building muscle. My diet consits of maily chicken, pork and extra lean beef. I also do eat a decent amount of pasta for the carbs. Carbs are a good source for engery. Check out the website www.bodybuilding.com. They have some great meal plans that are setup for everyones specific goals. My goals were to tone up and build a little muscle, I'm a skinny kid haha. With eating right and going to the gym, I lost about 10lbs of fat but gained about 6 back in muscle in 3 weeks. Also, A guy that I met at the gym that I go to used to be a personal trainer. he gave me a set of workouts to do DAILY at home. They are great. If you want to know more about them, just let me know. Good luck!

yeah i used to take muscle milk collegiate but i saw really low benefits..
but i did gained like 10 lbs of pure muscle, however i stopped going to the gym for
6 months and i lost all that.
i switched to Cytogainer from Cytosport since it has 54g of whey protein and
i have heard really good reviews from it. Chocolate malt is AWESOME
you only take one scoop? it is suppose to be at least 3

i check that website for reviews, really good site and forums. people do help you a lot in there.
you have to be careful with carbs though,, they can make you fat if you eat too much carbs,
workuouts daily at home? post them here man!
i am tryng to follow a program from vince del monte,, have you heard of it?
has really good work outs but i find it difficult to follow his meal plans.
Taking milk with whey protein helps you get through out the workout?
have you taken Jack3d? it works good for me but it just gives me a lot of focus but no energy as others say
and the tastee,,, i just take it to get through my goal...

I shoot up with steroids, gatorade, and rockstar after snorting a line. I think it works pretty good.
(Clearly I was joking)

Simply... you need two things:

a) get energy somewhere
b) get "construction material"

First you receive from carbohydrates. Second from proteins.

Whey protein supplement is combination of both in one.

just work out. you will gain results without taking supplements.. the only thing supplements do is "speed up the process". But I honestly don't think thats true.. you just need to do the right work outs.. I've taken creatine.. whey.. you name it and I think the best/only way to gain results is to workout correctly.. 5 days a week.. no half a$$ing.

supplements is only as effective as eating right and working out right. I go to the gym too. 1/1 protein:pound ratio if you want a steady gain. if you wanna get bigger faster. do a 1 1/2:1 ratio. make sure you work out right though. read up biggrin.gif

I semi-agree with this. You can't really build muscle without some form of protein, you can get really tone and cut but not really build. That is cool with me since I don't like looking like a gym jockey, but you have got to admit when you take certain supplements to increase energy, man it really helps the process out. Not so much the time as much as motivation to actually do the work.

Supplements are a waste of time IF... IF you also eat right. If you eat right, you won't need supplements. That's why they're called supplements. They supplement your diet. Its true. You can't build muscle without some form of protein. So eat some meat. The only way you should be supplementing protein is if you're a complete vegetarian. If you start eating too much protein, it doesn't DO ANYTHING except pass right through and make your farts extra stanky. That's when you're literally s*****g your money away. Anything else out there has NO science behind it at all, and may have more side effects than the manufacturer even knows about. The way muscle builds is like so. When you work out, you actually tear apart your muscle cells. Then your body uses protein to rebuild the cells stronger.

Best way to work out is keep track of what you do. Focus on 2-3 muscle groups a day (IE: Bi-s and Tri-s vs. Lats and delts, vs. chest and back vs quads and hams, vs neck and abs) 5 days a week and no half a$$ing. So keep track of what you do. You should rotate them and work out each muscle group at the same weight (Or go up if you deem it necessary, make sure to notate weights with corresponding exercises) every time so that you get a full body workout over the course of the week. This keeps you from tearing yourself apart top to bottom every day and wind up hating going to the gym.

For the workouts themselves. If you want to get big, go for heavier weights. And if you get to the point where you can get 10 reps on a set weight on a set exercise, go up in weight. If you're looking to get ripped or stay ripped, go with lighter weights, and higher reps.

I like coffee, but a lot of people like to use that 5 hour energy stuff. I have seen people simply use water and Xyience. Personally, coffee and some weights with music is enough to make me work out for like an hour or 3.

whey protein, syntha-6 is a great lean protein, but i'd avoid EAS stuff... IMO- it tastes terrible....blah.
lots of water and if you're trying to slim up, either jump rope for long periods of time or run (not jog) run.

Coffee dehydrates you. That's bad juju for a gym. Just drink some orange juice before you go. Water is also good. And just throw on some music that amps you up. My workout music of choice is Trivium's CD "Shogun". That s*** makes me feel like fighting a giant bear!

to go off of what he just said, i was reading... mens fitness (i think) and it said that crappy music while lifting can constrict your blood vessels up to 7or8% i think is what it said. so if you're not a fan of the crappy music be sure to take your own.

ha ha yeah, coffee makes me piss a lot and drink more water, but the benefits outweigh the consequence in working out for me smile.gif. I just drink more water, or orange juice since that helps with lactic acids.

I liked Ascendancy a lot more then I did shogun, because shogun seemed more like "LOOK WHAT I CAN DO ON THE GUITAR" and less, "This is badass ****." If that makes sense lol. But Deftones by far are my favorite workout/reading music. White Pony FTW.
