What sensor? its the Valve assy Air control part # 25740‑88480 http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_1996_TOYO...MVZ_1708.9.html it was broken on my engine and needs to be replaced, there was vacuum leaks coming out of the hoses for that sensor also when I did the test thread cleaned. if your not interested in buying this car, please do not post. just as an FYI for you and for potential buyers, that sensor and hoses are not needed for the engine to run 100% perfect. all that sensor does, is basicly create a controled vac leak when you turn the wheel to full lock, so that it idles up ~100rpm to compensate for the load placed on the PS pump, and therefore the crank. you can plug those hoses, or better yet pull them off the air pipes and cap the outlets. the car will idle down a bit when you turn the wheels to full lock, no harm, no foul. So are you saying that's all it would take to fix the problem Manny? Or what. I have a friend interested -------------------- |

bump =(
thought I would have time to work on this.. back up for sale, for good this time. asking $3500 but will take reasonable offers. Also, I bought the new sensor and will include that with the car. Local pickup or I can get you a shipping quote if need be. You will receive car title and keys with purchase. Also have this on craigslist. heres the link for that: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/cto/1651342086.html This post has been edited by SlvrCelica09: Mar 20, 2010 - 10:47 AM -------------------- THIS IS WHERE WE HOLD THEM!

Ahh sorry to hear you decided to sell again. I'm curious, whats been done to increase in sale price since the last time? nothing. I think I was being a bit too generous with the price the first time. I bought the engine for 2300, then add 1200 total for a GT4 conversion. Brake upgrades, and a whole car on top... yea I don't want to get shafted. -------------------- THIS IS WHERE WE HOLD THEM!

if no one got it for 25 hundred then shouldnt you lower the price instead of raising it a whole thousand dollars? I can see where you're coming from about investing all this money into it, but who ever buys it will need a whole new body, because as you said yourself in the other thread that when you got t boned the frame is damaged beyond repair, also your hood is all messed up, im sure its repairable but just think of all the work that needs to be put into it. Not to mention that most people are picky and will want all 4 wheels to match. Be more reasonable with the price because theres a ton of work that needs to be done to it, im almost 100 percent sure thats the only reason you are selling it. I know that if i had a 3sgte celica that was in good running condition i would hold on to that thing like no other.

I know that if i had a 3sgte celica that was in good running condition i would hold on to that thing like no other. the body isnt damaged beyond repair. I just never came around fixing it. I had people wanting to buy for 2500 but decided to try and fix because I didn't want to sell.. but that was in January and since then Ive never even had a chance to fix the car since its back at home and Im at school.. I want it sold now because I'm no longer interested in fixing the car and I just want something else now. I was planning on fixing the damage this summer, I got quoted to fix it for only $700 which includes repaint.. but I have my eye on a new car now so I really don't want to fix or keep it anymore. so yea the price is 3500, but I will be taking reasonable offers. This would also make a good parts car which I mentioned in my first post and on craigslist. You're basically getting a whole engine, tranny, st205 front end and a whole car on top of that. But there's the point...the hood is basically busted, so all that's left of the ST205 front end is the bumper, and then you have the riser blocks. You mention in the above post that the buyer gets a transmission, but you mention further up in the thread that the tranny is toast...so that's gone too.
Take this as you wish...good luck with the sale. -------------------- '97 ST \ Eibach \ KYB \ Kenwood \ Alpine \ Cusco \ OEM+ [sold 10/18]

Take this as you wish...good luck with the sale. the tranny is not toast.. i said you would need new axles and a new clutch. the hood is NOT basically busted just a couple small dents that can be easily fixed. I edited it out the other post about the tranny.. that is not the problem. I got a call from a buddy of mine and said my passenger axle was out of alignment which was the reason the clutch was not engaging. Heres a updated to do list for the car: new sensor(supplied) new alternator new axles wire in the intercooler fix frame damage.. will cost around 700 adjust handbrake This post has been edited by SlvrCelica09: Mar 22, 2010 - 1:28 PM -------------------- THIS IS WHERE WE HOLD THEM!

Hey guys.. It would seem that sad time has come. I no longer can afford 2 cars, I need to focus my attention on school.. so sarcrifices have to be made. I have up for sale a silver 1995 toyota celica with a gt4 front end(black) with a st205 motor swap. has 18 inch rims, drilled/slotted rotors... the engine starts up and runs.. but needs a new sensor as it has a rough idle.. also needs a new alternator.. and the intercooler and intercooler pump wiring needs to be completed. The driver side door is pretty beat up.. got hit by a car a couple years back and never was able to fix it.. the interior panels were spray painted silver and are chipping out.. the GT4 hood suffered that notorious hood to windshield fate so its not in the best shape.. the handbrake needs to be adjusted.. i belive the transmission is no longer working.. dont know for sure.. but I would advise anyone planning to buy this to buy a either a new 5sfe transmission or a e153 transimission. engine needs a new power steering assembly.. and I believe thats about it.. heres some pictures startng from the most recent.. (about a month ago) asking $3500 plus shipping WILL U TAKE ANY TRADES?? |
