Alright im using the USDM harness on a JDM Taillight, whats shows now is either side will have one brake light showing. What i want is both sides having two on.
What i have noticed when installing the jdm lights, there are 4 sockets correct? only 3 have bulbs the last one didnt have a bulb. So im guessing if i put a bulb in there when i brake there should be the two section of the lights showing right?

Would the usdm harness do the same thing?
Also the bulb im after is 1157 correct?

ps. ops wrong section

well when i had jdm tails i used the AUS harness (not same as US???) and only 1 showed.
but a mate (TNGCLA used to own st205 on here), spliced the wiring so both the two red ones showed on each side.

My stockers had 5 bulbs and jdms have 4 slots, which bulb is the fog light bulb? Also my reverse lights dont light up with my jdms but i guess it could be a blown fuse i will check that first

How?

Got mine today, and plugged the fogs in the inner lights. (Not the reverse light) I want the all four light up as brake lights..

Erm. The JDM tail lights have 4 sockets, which are (from outside in): Indicator, Brake Light, Brake Light, Reversing Light.

Or at least, that's what my 100% JDM celica has...

Easiest option it to get a hold of the JDM wiring harness tbh, the part number of which is 82181-2B060 smile.gif

Ok a bump.
Ive taken out my usdm harness. And the brake light that is working has three wires coming out. Two from one hole and one from one. Whilst the dead brakelight has one wire in each hole (there are two holes, so two wires). How would one wire this up. Im assuming the two wires from the one hole control the light option of, 1. On 2. Brighter on (when brake is used).

I used the usdm harness and it worked fine. Both of the lights shine for the tail lights.

Just a simple splice of the wire to attach it to something - the inner light wire is not connected to anything at all, so chop it off and connect it to the brake light wire - it's been a while since I did it but I *think* it's the single-colour wire on the outer brake light.

If I'm not mistaken, The JDM and/or EDM rear fog light are standard brake & night time driving lights here in the US. When I got the JDM tails for me and my wife they plugged in with the supplied JDM harness and both lights on each side worked as brake and night driving lights. I think the wiring from inside the car before the harness determines how the brake lights gonna work. I know the USDM tails have the extra outer night time driving marker lights. The JDM tails only have 1 brake light per side and the inner lights before the reverse light are the rear fog lights. I don't know if the rear fog lights are standard or an option and if they are an option then how does the tails work if there is no rear fog light?
