I need to find an active celica forum with "how to" articles and knowledgeable people. This obviously is not the best forum out there and I am tired of waiting for days to never for answers. Please recommend other celica forums that you guys are using. i am not trying to bash this forum, it just doesn't suit my needs ever.

This is the only 6th gen specific site. You can try celicatech, but its mainly 5th gens.
Sorry you expect instant results from a forum that really only has a small amount of regular users. I have been here for over 5 years and have had nothing but good things to say about the help I have received. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

how to
this site is the best place you can go for 6th gen related to be honest. You just need to know some of the more knowledgeable people don't talk much because the recent immature-ness this site is showing and some other of us are just too busy to check the forums everyday. Other celica forums are just about dead as here too. if its technical issues with the car, you can go to celica-tech you should stay around here as well. as soon as summer comes, all the younger members will be more active. -------------------- PROJECT 6TH GEN

i've found a lot of good information by just searching.. seems like a lot of common issues have been disscussed before... but if you need help right away. you can always try PMing some of the moderators..
I think a lot of people have a good heart just may not be able to check the forum often enough.. i know for me my computer at home is down so its hard to check it everyday... -------------------- ~Daniel~ No Longer Celica Owner.. moved on to a 03 WRX-EJ207

Like I said, I was not trying to bash this forum. I was only trying to find a more active forum so i can get my questions answered. I see so many unanswered questions on this forum(some of mine) and there are very few tutorials. I figured there would be at least a tutorial for brake changes. yes, I know it is a simple task, but it is still nice to have an article when questions come up. As suggested, I went to Celica-tech and my question was answered right away. I am not planning on leaving this site, I just wanted more resources. Membership to more Celica forums means more information at hand...RIGHT?

Wow. I too have nothing but good to say about 6gc. It has recently been slow, yes, but from what I've seen, most threads get answered.
Also if you search, 99% of issues you could have has already been had by someone else, and you can find a plethora of ways to fix whatever it is you have that you so desperately need fixed. Anyway i looked through your posts that you have created and I only saw 1 WTB without a reply, .... that you posted yesterday. You could do some searching yourself there are many part-outs going on and PM whoever to get what you need. And you are never going to find a more thorough resource for the 6gc, if you need more urgent help on mechanical problems join some general mechanic forum, its just a car after all. Good luck with your search. -------------------- ◊◊◊ My F/S Thread! ◊◊◊
QUOTE (14:19:21) Daniel: That was a JDM hole in the side of the box too. There was so much JDM trapped inside that box that they couldn't contain it, so they had to put a JDM hole in the box to let the JDM out. QUOTE Ferdi says (11:29) No, it looks like a hooker put her acid vag on your hood. Acid vag = bigger problem than a few dings. |

As suggested, I went to Celica-tech and my question was answered right away. I am not planning on leaving this site, I just wanted more resources. Membership to more Celica forums means more information at hand...RIGHT? Sorry, I'm going to agree with what you said here... and what other people have said as well though. I've had great experiences here and have learned SO SO much from members on this site... but yes, sometimes it is frustrating to have questions go unanswered, or worse yet, have a question and have a reply like "yeah I don't know one time that happened to me and I just used tape" or something along those lines. (my frustration comes in with people complaining about it, yet expending minimal effort to change it - and terbear that's not directed at you, it's just a general statement) I'm on Celicatech too (94Celigirl) but I definitely spend more time on here. I also appreciate having different resources to glean information from. There's a lot of misinformation out there as well, and sometimes a consensus really helps as well. Plus, the more information you have, the more you have to share, just as you said. -------------------- |

You can't expect to get answers when you thread jack. I just looked through all your posts, and it's difficult to answer your questions when they are buried in someone else's thread (all 2 of your questions which have been asked just in the past couple days). Learn how to use the search function.
Also, a dragging caliper is a general car question, not a 6th gen specific issue. I'm pretty sure google search would have netted you much better results. EDIT: I just searched "dragging brake caliper" on google and came up with tons of info This post has been edited by flyinglizard: Apr 8, 2010 - 12:32 PM |

Dont complain if you threadjack, make a new thread,or just search,OR take the car to a mechanic! This site welcomes new member with open arms,we give advice, thoughts, and concerns, until they make an ass out of themselves(which you have just done) and then we dont want to help becuase we know the person thinks that we ow them somthing. You dont pay for this site,so your not ENTITLED to anything. If u were to post a question in a new thread multiple times and get NO responces then yes i would think you have reason to post a thread like this, but every single one of your threads that is asking a question has been replied to...
If you have any questions that you think no one has answered feel free to message me and i will give you the answer or tell you where to find it.. -------------------- BANNED. for life, you moron.

Sure, I could start a new thread, but then you people would tell me to search because it has already been asked. There is no reason tostart a new thread when a similar already exists.
BTW, I do appreciate how you guys make me feel welcomed. -------------------- ☠Jay☠Las Vegas☠1999 GT Convertible☠ASC #2346☠ FOR SALE!!! |

I've updated a few sticky threads, I hope it makes it easier for getting the info your after, but yes there are still 'how to' threads we dont have, its up to the 6gen community to write them. I'll do a bit of looking around for how to/ info threads we still need and post them in the 'sticky update' thread in website discussion

But...if you know there is a thread about your topic...why not just search for it then?there are thousands of topics on these forums.Plus, i think, that the search function is very useful when used correctly. You can put a + in front of the words, that makes the search only search for threads with ALL the words that have a + in front ..such as: +3sgte +gt +swap, or +gt +caliper +grinding, or +gt-4 +conversion +ST ....it makes it a bit easier.. -------------------- BANNED. for life, you moron.

My god you are ****ing dumb. A similar thread already existed, but it did not answer my questions fully. So I asked some questions pertaining to that thread. I did not start a new one because the problems were the same, I just need more info. For ****s sake, if you are going to bitch and moan about this then at least read the threads you are talking about. -------------------- ☠Jay☠Las Vegas☠1999 GT Convertible☠ASC #2346☠ FOR SALE!!! |

..And you're wondering why you don't get any answers? No offence but no ones going to answer your questions when your a complete dick. And on top of that yous tarted a thread on a celica forum, for BETTER celice forums, When you simply could have gone to google, searched celica forums, and I'm sure every forum mentioned above would have shown up. I don't blame the guys for not wanting to deal with you..

Yes, you are another brilliant one. I was only a dick after asking a simple question about other forums. I don't feel like signing up for another 5 forums only to find out that one of them is decent. That is why I asked. I know I could have googled Celica forums, but I would rather be referred to someplace. So all of you can **** off. Thanks for the tip about celica-tech. I can see why this site never took off like it should have.

I am still on it because dumb asses keep responding. I have found another forum that answers questions, is very helpful, and the people are actually friendly. I am not asking for any help. -------------------- ☠Jay☠Las Vegas☠1999 GT Convertible☠ASC #2346☠ FOR SALE!!! |
