I looked at a '92 300ZX once. It was a quick car, seemed to be taken care of. The only thing I really know about them is that they allegedly aren't a great platform for a project car. But then again, neither is a 6gc. One of these car has power to the correct wheels. I say go for it, dude.

No sh*t! I have not seen too many 20-year-old cars looking like this one. If the price is right definitely go for it!

Its in great condition really. It sat in a garage for most its life. All the "rubbers" as mentioned before in this thread are in outstanding shape, not the least bit dry or cracking up, even the ones that are sealing the t-tops. im very impressed.

Holy crap, was that thing driven in reverse? If you don't have any big plans for it, it seems like a nice car. Not something I'd like to start a project with though.

looks in great shape! All I've heard of is they are very hard to work on as the engine is so tight in the engine bay, and they have overheating problems because of it, I've heard of clutches going frequently and being a bitch to change other than that it shouldn't be much worse than a normal car and normal things will go.

Found a great deal on a 1990 nissan 300zx, t-tops, 2+2, non turbo, mint. 74000 miles on it.

I have been around 2 of these, one of my friends has a TT,and ive been up close and personal. They are not the easiest car to work on,we did his timing belt(mind you we are teenagers) and it took us about 10 hours from start to start. Also my GFs best friend has/had one(rolled it into a ditch),it was a NA auto but still really quick. They are quick cars, but really heavy and hard to work on.

You must not have many friends.. to constantly be an A$$ hole just shows either you don't get enough sex or you just don't have friends. Of course he could have goggled, but he just wanted to know if there were people on this site that owned a 300zx.

I bet that sounded REALLY funny in your head...

That was actually pretty funny in his post to...

Actually reading isn't one of my favorite things to do, it is more of a chore to me. So I just wanted to give him a thumbs up, because I was under the impression he missed out on a good deal, but looking for ano.... wait... Was that someone else? Oh yeah, the guy looking for the MKI... My bad...

My buddy has two 300zx twin turbo's and we went to look at one that was n/a and it was reaalll slow, I would say wait til you can find a twin turbo, but thats just my opinion. And Im not really feeling the colour either, unless your planning to build it.

I wasn't ever really "looking" for a car or car shopping actually, and technically the car wasnt for sale. I just happened upon this deal. Turbo doesn't matter to me, the 220hp v6 is plenty juice for my needs. Also I read on the 300zx forums the turbos "die" (i dont know much about turbos, so don't beat me up too bad) at around 120k and im not looking for extra expenses.

Not planning any kinda build for the car, maybe an intake system and exhaust in the future but not intending to turbo or anything beyond those basics.

thanks to everyone for your help.... ill post more pix if i end up getting it.
