Well, im not even sure that i'm worthy to post about my speculations and prospects.
It has been some time since i posted last about my celica going boom! I got back into reading and learning again about turboing the celica, thanks to CelicaST(blah blah, forgot the last of his screen name if he has any more.) I've gone through a huge change of life styles, being now that im an apprentice electrician making alot of money, instead of a college student with no money. Loving the idea of a turbo'd celica (namely mine,) i think im gonna bring her back to life. I'll fill this thread with progress about how far im getting on the build, week by week. What i know @TM (atm): [1] i tore off the head and took a look at the internals, blown head *great *. Well, it's alot better than the bottom end i guess. easy fix. [2] Rust, progressive but not bad. [3] Needing injectors, the right onces this time. no jerry rigging them in there so i need some advice what to go with on CC size and fit. [4] Sold my Greddy E-Manage, so i need a new management unit. suggestions? im not afraid to totally rewire my car, i've done it before. [5] Need a new, much cleaner way to mount a Intercooler. as well as suggestions for which intercooler. [6] Need new IC Piping, sold that also. [7] Money isnt a problem, but i need not to go outrageous. What i want: [1] Bigger turbo, i think there is a .38 AR on there right now (i might be wrong but its been a long time almost 2 years) [2] Clean up the engine bay (electrically and dirt wise) [3] Go really, really fast -------------------- the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.

Got the last bit of my screen name right!
Hmmmm... well you know what my thoughts are, but I suppose we did jerry rig that intercooler, so maybe weld some brackets onto the tabs on the sides of the core and mount it to the angry-face crash bar. Or pick up one of the 3S-GTE FMIC kits on eBay and modify it to fit. Talk with Steph about which injectors she used. I'm sure they'll fit a 4A head as well. As far as engine management - how much are you looking to spend? The one I have been looking at is like $1200, plus a $500 protune. I think you only spent like $500 on the e-manage, right? Rust can be addressed once the car is running. Cleaning up the engine bay - probably should pull the motor for this. And no Decepticon badges. hey, that was for another car. not the celica! im not changing the badges on this one. well, i guess honestly the management unit should probably be a question i ask the local tuner so that he can tune it on the dyno...

Call around to AMS, PDXTuning, or any other reliable shop and ask them what standalone EMS they support or recommend. Maybe you can roll megasquirt!
The unit I'll be using is called VIPEC. I've heard great things about it, but it is super expensive. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

If you got the money I would ditch that 7A and just get a 3S or a V6. C'mon you got the $$$$$ lets see a turbo V6!

Look up the thread made by snapshotgt that goes over his V6 swap. I'm sure you'll find some decent information to guide you in the right direction.
