mount points
rear subframe with i think 1/8th inch aluminium connecting the the diffuser to it

i used butteryfly screws to mount the 1/8 aluminium to the rear subframe. there where two holes with plastic covers over them

the bolts that go through the diffuser have rubber washers on both sides so the bolts dont dig into the carbon fiber

well the holes in the subframe are about 3/4" wide
and the butterfly screws where the first thing i had found when looking for parts.

if any one plans on getting this for the st204 and below
pm me or post on here for a supply list. its fairly simple and easy to find all the parts

Thanks for that. How about the front end. Did you bolt it to the rear bumper?

yeah the front end was bolted to on the left and right side.
i left the middle one out because it seemed stable enough
i used long bolts that had threads only on the end of them, and i put some plastic spacers in between the diffuser and the bumper holes so there would be no play

i havent tried it in the rain but i went on a highway nearby and did a quick pull up to 120 and the car seemed alot more stable
usually i am gripping the wheel because the car feels like it might just fly off the road
it works like a charm

had a very scary nightmare that i was walking to class and saw my car in the lot where i have it parked.
there was a supra style wing nailed to my hatch that was super tall and narrow so it looked awkward. i was piiiiiisssssssst
public safety said that i would need to go to the board of trustees to get money to pay for damages and he cant watch the tape from the security camera that was pointing right at my car lol
-end

^^I've had worse dreams about the Celica than that.

That's when you go to check out the car in the morning and go "oh good, cars fine smile.gif"

went out this morning to go grab my car from the parking lot here at school

started her up.
and started to drive her back to my dorm so i could load it up.
i was watching the oil pressure gauge and it was jumping all over the place, usually on a cold start in 1st gear it will be btwn 80-90psi btwn 4-5rpm

it kept dropping down to to 10psi then back up to 90 then to 40. All whilst at a steady rpm.

when i was getting close to my dorm i wanted to see if the pressure would rise as i stepped on the gas a bit and as i did i got up to 5500rpm and the psi dropped to 10.
as soon as i got back to my dorm i stopped and revved the engine again to see what the psi would do

and instead
i got a horrible tapping noise and i instantly turned off the engine.

checked the connections for the oil pressure gauge.
fine

then checked the oil.
nothing.
put a quart in
the tip of the dipstick barely had a drop on it after that quart.
but it did relieve the engine and i was able to safely drive it to get more oil.

close call
but the engine is fine as far as i know.
i drove it the rest of the day

Thats a good call mike...you will be happy with them...i would love to see what you would run in the quarter mile with the cams installed and everything tuned...plus the fact that you have it stripped will help as well...there going to bring that 5s to life...invest in some cam gears as well and play around with your timeing..and if your feeling really spontanious, run some c16 in it..lol...ok maybe not

good stuff though man...screw the 4k..put them in now! who needs warrentys these days?
