hey guys i'm semi new to posting here but i have been reading the forum for a while now. in October i picked up this.....

I got the car for $300 which was a steal since the body is in great condition.it has about 112xxx on the odometer. The guy said it needed a clutch and head gasket seal. Im sure it needs a lot more since he turned into a crack a couple years before i moved out of that house. I just bought a 3sgte from jspec auto with a uncut harness, ecu, altrac tranny and im almost positive a w2a intercooler since it was out of an st205. i haven't had a chance to unwrap it yet.

I now need to look into getting a trans for it since there no way in hell id able to do a st205 conversion with my knowledge. I live in central mass near Worcester so if any of you guys are interested in helping me out pm me im looking foward to getting this done by my 21st bday in august but hopefully a lot sooner!!!!!!!

Hubcaps, no GT badge, no chrome tip muffler - might be a ST. OP, does it have disc brakes in the rear? Pictures of the motor?

Edit- Nevermind, you stated its a ST.

(Still swap in a 2GR)

Can't beat 275whp and stock Toyota reliability. It has a bit of documentation on mr2oc (fortunately for us there is a guy who makes a kit to drop the 2GR right into a mr2). Dr Tweak can probably handle the wiring aspect - making the entire setup plug and play.

Plus the 2GRs are cheaper than a 3S.

yea i went on mr2oc to see if the kit would bolt in but he said that it wouldn't. the person that is helping me was totally against it and wouldnt listen to me.so i bought a 3s i paid 2g for it with a uncut harness and ecu. once i get it running im going standalone tho i cant wait!!

Off topic, but it seems my Celica is the only one I've seen that has "Celica" on the steering wheel. Do I have an anniversary edition or something?

No it's actually got the word "CELICA" rather than the Toyota symbol. It's not a sticker.

Hey,

I don't have the outright knowledge to do the swap, but I'd REALLY like to be an extra set of hands. Because I'm going to be doing this pretty soon, and I'd like to have some first had experience.

P.S., I'm in Worcester.

Let me know if you need my help.
