How many of you would be interested in a rear 3 point strut bar?

I guess there is a difference from the preface lift and face lift strut bar fitment in the back, so right now this is for the 94-95.

What material would you guys want it made out of? Aluminum or carbon steel?

These will be powder coated, but we are unsure of what color right now.

I am just trying to see if there are any sorts of interest for these. We won't make them unless there is interest out there. I figured that we will start out with the rear strut bar first. If that becomes a success we will start making other parts.

Let me know what you guys think, and a price range you guys are willing to pay.

I'm interested. A swaybar was to be my next suspension upgrade. If I have the cash, I might as well spring for a three-point one.

Actually there is a slight difference. The bolt hole in the center (also where the seat bracket mounts to) is over to the right more in 94-95, maybe about an inch or slightly less.

I'd be interested. I got mine from Jeff who doesn't make them anymore. It made a huge difference, I was extremely impressed with the results. It doesn't help cargo space at all since you can no longer fold the seats down and use all that space without taking the bar off which is a pain in the ass to do but I really don't ever want to drive my car again without it anyway. I need to find one for the Beams now.

I'm gauging interest to see how many people we can actually get, before we start producing them. Seems like there are enough people. We will make a couple. Too bad I don't have any 96+ to mock things up on.

Question is aluminum or steel?

there is no differance between the preface and facelift models, the only thing that is different is the obd1 or the obd2, the front bumper, and the spoiler, thats it, the rest is the same, i have a 96 and if you want to ship me a prototype i will prove to you that it will fit

correct.

edit:pics to show the diff

97 (96+) bolt hole is on the driver's side of the "V"

94-95 bolt hole is in the center of the "V"

Thanks dustin for clearing things up.

Well the cost of steel is much cheaper than aluminum. With aluminum we can use rectangle tubing, but with steel I'd prefer to use round tubing.

the difference on the bolt location is interesting, I didn't know that, and though there was no difference as the J-speed bar is sold for all models and not only pre facelift, I'll take a closer look and see if the bar has both bolt holes to accomodate all models.
