Do 1994 Celica GT have a Red Line limiter or Launch control? because everytime im in first gear and take it to 5000 RPM it feels/sounds like im in 8000 RPM, so i can never pass 5000 RPM i feel like my motor is gonna blow to bits.

5SFE's aren't high revving engines, there more of a low rpm high torque kind of engine

this question will never be answered better yet just dont do it if you want launch control/rev limiter go buy a bee-r

Drop the clutch while bouncing off the limiter and you might be able to make them squeak. XD

you might have a bad clutch and before the wheels give way your clutch gives way(happened to my friends 240sx)

cuz you should be able to get tire spin hitting 2nd hard at 40mph

and burn all the way down the road and up your rpm range on dry pavement in first from a dead stop..


when my gt coupe was stock these were all possible..

lol have to agree i have a clutch that slips when ya boot it in 3rd most times and i can usually rip a mad skid. second gear burnouts as mentioned and ones from a stand still

yeah, its possible a bad clutch, i don't peel out in 2nd but in first i do.

theirs not many ways to test it but you should be able to burn second from any roll below 40 not for long but still burn em

your gonna blow your engine like that

1. its not a honda
2. its a 2.2 from the camry, its made for torque and smooth power while netting decent gas mileage
3. its not a high performance engine
4. its a really bad fit for the celica.

This. All of this. Your exhaust also sounds a bit ricey. But then again, I don't much believe in exhausts until a car is swapped.

Revving at 5500? I don't drive an ST I redline at 6200.

My exhaust sounds a lot different in real life... I agree, my exhaust sounds very ricey in this video.

And just letting you guys know, I don't go around revving all day lol. I did this ONCE to see if it actually could do it. I have never done it again, and never plan to.

Right now I have the gain set the gain at "1" (no popping, just smooth rev limiter), put the rev limiter at 5,500 (I shift at ~5,300 anyway), and the launch control at 2,500 (beautiful launches).

I bought this for good launches at the track, not pretty fire

i ran mine at like 9 all the time and it was fine but yea sweet flames omfg!!
