looks sweeet manny, you use regular paint for that or does it require high heat? .. srry if its a noob question.. lol

I did use high temp paint on the actuator, kinda as a "basecoat", then a couple light coats of normal stuff to get the same color as the other stuff I painted. smile.gif

ahh icic, makes sense. now since you used the high temp as basically a basecoat it should prevent the regular paint from burning off right? (in theory)

so i got the valve cover back from powercoating the other day.
because i didnt prep it properly, it came out pretty bad.
i didnt want to sandblast it, because the media gets trapped behind the baffels under the cover, and the baffles are riveted into place, so i just cleaned it in the parts washer, and didnt sand it.
so, im just going to sand it by hand, and prolly paint it.
havent worked in the garage for a couple days, gonna try and get a few things done this weekend.
more pics soon! thumbsup.gif

I like how you named the Soldering pen correctly, most call it a gun, where it is definately not a gun.

I solder a good portion of my weekdays, and I can appreciate good work. That sir is fine work, if you want I got about 19 DB25 connectors to be made =)

Great progress though, fun to follow.

Manny, my MR2 Gen3 engine brought that waterneck and I was afraid it was going to be too long. I guess they're the same for both the MR2 and the Celi. biggrin.gif Good thing, because I painted it with VHT epoxy paint I bought at Pep Boys. That paint is awesome, man. For being rattle can paint, it lays on smoothly and doesn't have the signature rattle can paint finish. It dries quick, too. My mechanic dropped a socket on top of it 5 minutes after I painted it, and you won't believe it: It DENTED the waterneck...paint and all. The paint didn't come off. I was amazed. laugh.gif So much, that I painted my alternator too.

I got the Satin Black. Looks very professional, because it's not too glossy or matte. It's in between. smile.gif

painted the alternator, and distributor, and installed the alt bracket and intercooler mount bracket for a final fit check before i reinstall everything:

also installed the oil filter adapter for the oil pressure gauge.

im finally starting to hit the final curve, time to reinstall everything and get it ready to go in!! woot!
