well...ive encountered this problem.
i just took apart the caliper and put it back together. would doing that really cause this problem?
it worked fine before i took it all apart

Well if it wasn't aligned right on the re-install or the slides weren't lubricated then that's a real possibility. If it was done properly then might have just been coincidence.
