M friend bought a GT-FOUR from japan. It's in vancouver right now and he found a TRD short shifter. Now he asked me if it will fit. I said probably but i didnt wanna give him a 100% "im sure it will" cause iif by any chance it doesn't then it's all on me -_-. I know it's a pretty stupid question but WILL it fit the GT-FOUR. i'm just not sure cause it's right hand drive and since it's JDM im not sure if the shifter assembly is the same

Gen 7 shifters apparently do fit as a couple CCUK members have done it but it is very wobbly due to the size difference on the ends it is not worth doing with an expensive Gen 7 TRD short shifter especially as the only way to fit it will probably be to remove the shift stick from the rest of the unit and fit it into your original Gen 6 unit. Better to get the proper Gen 6 TRD version, a cheaper alternative or create your own http://www.6gc.net/howto/make_custom_short_shifter

due to the fitment differences the gear change isn't as accurate so really its not an upgrade as is it has cons as well as pros,
