Im looking into new rotors, but i dont want to paint them in colors now, looking into keeping them from rusting out, any ideas

It's inevitable, brake rotors will rust, but it's just surface rust. You could try to paint the centers of them, and maybe paint the sides/vents, but it's not really worth it IMO.
Other than on cars that sat in a field for 20 years or something, I've never seen a brake rotor have a problem due to rust. -------------------- 1999 Celica GT

i just want to keep them shiny in the center, maybe a high temp clear gloss

Some rotors will come pre-coated with zinc (I think thats what it is) to prevent the rusting. My friend got some for his acura and after about 1 year they started to rust. The ones I have on my car came pre-painted black (NOT the surface) and I have yet to have a problem (going on 2 years now?)

^^ Napa has some pretty good rotors just like that, painted black, with good quality metal so rusting out is less of a chance.

Could always paint them with either a graphite colour -- so it looks like bare metal -- or a high-temp clear coat if you don't like the obviously painted look.
