Hello, I was wondering about how much it costs for parts and labor to convert my car over to all wheel drive. Also if that means I will need the 3s-gte engine swap/transmission to handle it?

The AWD parts you can get from me, Trans, axles, driveshafts, rear diff, etc will run you 1800 shipped. A GEN3 3sgte will run you 2400 with free shipping to your door.

If bought together, you can save some money. Everything together will run you 3800 with free shipping to your door. Then you will need to find a competent mechanic who is wiling to take him time and read the wealth of information on this site about swapping to a 3sgte. Then you need to bring in a guy who does frame repair and show him where he needs to weld you up some subframes for the rear. Once the subframes are made and welded into the car,,,you can basically bolt the AWD stuff in. You will have some more fabrication work such as cutting out the spare tire well in the back, running a fuel cell, or ST165/185/205 gas tank, extending brake lines, and welding in some drive shaft support brackets,

It is possible, but you need someone with a good head on his shoulders, and someone you can trust, I hope this helps.

damn i don't think you would gain anything form a 5s being awd other than gaining a second onto your 1/4mile time lol

Well I just picked this car up for 2,200$ stuck 1,400$ in it and still have another 1200$ to go before its all clean. I'll have to wait till next summer before I think about AWD. I live in Wisconsin so 4wd sounds appealing for snow.

New: Oil Change, Alternator/Power Steering/Timing Belt, Water Pump, Valve Gasket, Drilled/Slotted Rotors, Red Caliper Paint, DEH-P7200HD Pioneer Head unit, 4 6.5inch Pioneer 3 ways

would you be able to ship over an entire rear subframe off a gt4. That way the guys in the USA have a way to make a OEM specification jig for the awd parts.

not gonna lie if i wanted a legal and fast AWD car painlessly and less time consuming to attain and i live in the US

id go buy me a subaru ...not to knock on anything but its hot out of the package with potential without the cutting and welding

if your on a budget and want a awd car with heat and dont mind age ... the early 90's all tracs are awesome sorta hard to find..
