Would it help to sway you if I said that I'd bring both the 6g and the AT?

edit: As for my excuse, I'm still debating if i should go, my gf and i where in an accident. We're trying to figure out everything with the insurance company since the girl that hit us seems to had a fake insurance or something.

No excuses, Chris. I just started another job, which makes 4 for the summer. I have already requested off for the 12th, but I won't know until tomorrow or Sunday if I actually have off.

Shig, man, it's hard to say. We'd all like to see you turn up but at the same time, driving a wrecked car is always risky. Hope to see you make it though.

haha no the 204 is still running, it was the 7th gen that was in the accident. Sorry for the lack of explaining.

Ah, that's great news! I didn't know you had a 7th gen. I was worried about the GT-III.

Is your girl OK? how bad is the car?

she is fine, going to the hospital for a check up since she said her head still hurts but i'm sure she'll be fine.


top part of bumper is cracked. Hood, as you can see, is useless. Rear bumper i have the lady's license plate bolts stuck into the bumper and a few cracks but no big damage there. Nothing wrong with engine as from what i can see since i can't open the hood due to the hood latch twisted the latch shut. Drivable and not leaking anything.

edit: i'm thinking positive thou, like cf hood and new bumper since this one was already chipping to begin with. It all depends on how much we can get out of the other person's insurance company.

Wow. Looks like a pretty decent hit Shig....

The 6g will definitely be there, as will the red trac. The black one is down with a blown turbo and possibly some engine damage, I have yet to confirm the latter.

I do really hope to see you guys down there though.

Also, 6gen91 (Mike) will probably be caravaning down there with me.

Bitter, I was in heavy traffic and a girl behind me stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brakes and she rear ended me. That caused me to rear end a suv. Driver behind me at fault, I'm all good.

Chris, maybe we should call up Eugene too. I don't think he'll come thou...

It's cool. Bitter says he'll be at Starved Rock several times this summer. I'm not too far away to make a day trip out of it sometime, so I may just keep in touch with you guys and have a mini meet sometime this summer. Maybe it'll be my first trip in the new Celica.

That sucks Dan.... I totally made the arrangements to take both cars down too.

Shig: I'm in the process of trying to get Eugene to come too. Maybe you should call him up so that we can both harass him about it.

Glad everyone is OK and it wasn't something more serious, but still sad to see it happen. I had a similar situation happen a few years ago but in my Geo and was rear ended by an Eclipse with locked up brakes...and a bit harder.

yea, I get out there a few weekends a year in the summer to hike and drive and make a nice day out of it. Usually if its been dry all week and saturday weather is nice I get out there. Matthiessen State Park is great as well, the canyon is bad-ass.

the weekend after this meet is a huge wisconsin/illinois/indiana/ whatever meet i think like upwards to 20 mr2's its june 26th. I know not every would be down for that but just letting you guys know.
