I just changed my oil today. I went somewhere with my mom and we came home late, at about one. I started my car to move it and heard a whirring noise when idling. I'm not sure if this noise is always been there, maybe it's just because it was late and really, really quiet that I noticed it, or it's something attributed to the oil change, although I have no clue what that would have to do with anything except not enough oil, but there's enough. I used Mobil 1 10w30 and a Mobil 1 filter if that helps at all.

i experience whrring noise before it end up to be my wheel bearings.
but since you hear the noise during idle, it could be bearings from the pulleys (i.e., alternator pulley, crank pulley, etc.) do you hear the sound while accelerating? |

I don't think it'd be the pulleys b/c when I accelerate it stays constant until about 3,000rpm then it disappears. It's a very low, metallic whirring noise, you'd have to drive my car for as long as I have to even notice the difference. -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

Do you have an aftermarket K&N style cone filter? I have a Injen pipe and a Fujita filter. It has that indention on the top that makes it look kind of like this like this from the side /\/\ instead of flat on top. It's just not that deep -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

But what's weird is that I installed the intake on Friday and it didn't start making the noise till late Sunday night -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09
