amazing result for the Swiss today redface.gif

where the hell is Ferdi anyway?!

Here I am. And I was well chuffed (that's how you guys put it, right?). I expected either a tie or 2:1 for Spain, but wasn't really expecting a win. I have to say that the game started out slowly, but defense at the end was incredible. I felt like we could've played Brazil. Would've been a tie had that that amazing strike not hit the top bar (hit by Villa, I think). All in all, pretty incredible game. Holland is doing great as well, so I'm very pleased with the Cup so far.

A draw or 2-1 ?! Spain are the favourites to win the thing, i expected them to win by 3 or 4 goals at least! Massive shock. I reckon the Swiss have used up all their good luck now though wink.gif

Hopefully England will make a few changes for Fridays game, as we really should be easily beating Algeria....

^ Yeah well, I have faith in my team Lukey. It'd be awesome if Switzerland could keep this up, would be fun if it was Holland vs. Switzerland in the final. biggrin.gif

And England will be alright, as long as Green puts some glue on his gloves. wink.gif I feel bad for the guy, he's NEVER living that down...

Cheese-eating surrender monkeys lost. Pretty decent game though.

Can't wait for Holland to take on JDM land on saturday.

LOL @ geaux. I've used that a few times myself.

Wow, Serbia won...it was playing too early for me to care, but did anyone watch it and can say it's a good game? I wouldn't mind seeing some Germans getting their ass whooped, so if it's worthwhile I'll watch the replay.

And if England loses to Algeria, I'll...I don't know, I'll be really excited. What an awesome Cup so far, so full of upsets.

Well the Germany/Serbia game was a crock of sh!t, yellow cards left and right.

The USA is totally blowing it, because apparently they suck hardcore, losing 2-0 to Slovenia.

NOT a good day for football.

Now ESPN3 streaming isn't working and I missed both of the USA goals. WTF.

I didn't necessarily want the US to win, but I feel bad that the win was taken from them. It wasn't even a chance at the win, it was literally the win taken from them...that call was bull****.

Agreed minus the first sentence...... They will eventually lose but we shall see how far they can go, if they don't get bs calls like the one today.

Absolutely gutted. England are an absolute disgrace. Bunch of overpaid bottlers.

(and to super, no football does NOT need instant replays, don't try to turn it into a slow boring US sport with more stops in play than action.... the speed of the game and the controversy, and arguments at work the next day is what makes football the best game in the world ((except when england play it frown.gif ))

i really don't see any way back from this mate, do you??

I just don't know what is going on? Are they tired? Too much pressure? Or is it that the foreign players they have around them in their teams make them look better than they are?

It's actually made me sad watching that frown.gif

I have no idea if they can come back from that shower of ****......they are playing like its the first time they have played together. I bet we could get a better team together from people from 6GC. They wasted every chance and should be ashamed at their performance.

I recon its those dam vuvuzela horn things putting them off biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

HUP HOLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!

Quite the conflict of interests for me...I'm a Dutch guy driving a Japanese car...but I still hope JDM land will get buried tomorrow. Awesome Cup so far though, seeing as all of the favored teams are not doing well (except for one or two biggrin.gif).
